4th Annual Winterfest

City Center Activities | 15040 Library Lane

BINGO & FIRESIDE STORIES

Join us on January 7th for Winterfest Bingo with the New Berlin Public Library at 1&2pm! Bingo will take place inside at the Library!

Preregistration preferred, walk-ins only if spots are available.

FAMILY OPEN SKATE

Bring your own skates or the New Berlin Public Library has ice skate selections in many adult and youth sizes (many of the kids skates are adjustable) available for check-out with your Library Card! Click here to place a hold on skates!

Cash Only concessions (hot chocolate, winter hats, mugs & cookies) will be available at the concession stand!

Come learn what a button, a burned stone, and a bonspiel all are at this introduction to curling as part of New Berlin’s Winterfest! The New Berlin Library along with the Kettle Moraine Curling Club will be on hand to give an overview of this historic Olympic sport. Spots are limited, please only sign up for one time slot per person.

Fireside stories will be at 1:30pm & 2:30pm at the fire pit near the concession stand.

Come join us for a cozy open mic poetry reading by the fireplace!

Join us and get creative and make a penguin & snowflake craft at the New Berlin Public Library's Makerstudio from 10-12pm!

Beer Garden | Malone Park

12-7pm

This year the beer garden is hosted by the New Berlin Recreation Department. Check out our adult beverages and come enjoy a cold one by the bonfire on January 7th!

MEDALLION HUNT

Hidden somewhere in Malone Park is the New Berlin Winterfest Medallion! Match wits with the “cluemaster” to see if you can track down the medallion and win the prize!

Clues will be posted on the New Berlin Recreation Department’s Facebook page beginning at 12:00pm on January 7th. One clue will be released every hour with a total of five clues bringing you progressively closer to the hiding spot!

The back side of the medallion includes a contact name and number to report that it has been found.

The New Berlin Recreation Medallion:

-Is never buried in the ground

-Is always on public property

-Is accessible 24 hours, but posted hours should be observed and respected

-May be camouflaged

New Berlin Recreation requests that all medallion hunters respect public and private property (as well as their fellow hunters) while trying to locate the medallion. Good luck!

Candle Light Hike, Bonfire, and S’mores

Bonfire begins at 4:00pm

Candlelight Hike begins at 5:00pm

Hike by candlelight, cozy up next to a roaring bonfire, roast marshmallows, and sip on warm refreshments at Winterfest! The illuminated trail will begin near the Gazebo. A warm bonfire and s’mores will await you at the end. Participants will be able to explore at their own pace on this self-guided hike. Please park in the parking lot by the Gazebo and dress for the weather!

LIVE MUSIC 2-6pm

Joining us for a second year in a row is Cold Soda Club!

We’re the Cold Soda Club from Sheboygan, Wisconsin. If you were to put us into a specific genre it’d probably be alternative rock, but we enjoy making all types of music. This is because we draw influences from not only alternative rock, but also blues, classic rock, jazz, funk, and pop. We are four guys who met in high school that somehow ended up in one place with one common interest.

Visit Malone Park this Saturday to view all of the wonderful Ice Sculptures provided by Art Below Zero!

Hello Foodies! Make sure to come hungry to Winterfest this Saturday, January 8th at Malone Park because we have two AMAZING food options coming to our event Piña Mexican Eats, and Scouts BSA Troop 68 Brat Fry!! Finish your meal with some Eagle Park Ekto Kooler!

DID SOMEONE SAY UNLIMITED HOT CHOCOLATE?

The New Berlin Recreation Department will be selling small concessions at Malone Park from 12-7pm. Hot Chocolate, Winter Hats, Mugs will be available for sale! Concessions are CASH ONLY.

Kickball Tournament | Malone Park

Starting at 12:00om is our fourth annual Winterfest Snow Kickball tourney! Join us by cheering on the teams! This is a sight to see!
