Momentum in Motion

Greetings!

There’s a buzz in Turtle Creek—and it’s not just the cicadas. Thanks to your generosity, projects are popping up everywhere, reshaping the corridor in exciting ways.

The historic bridges are getting a facelift with eco-blasting, fresh paint, and restored lighting. Soon, the Crow 1 sculpture will rise as a bold new gateway off Maple Avenue, welcoming everyone with art and inspiration. Under Fairmount, safety and beauty are being restored with massive stones, fresh paint, and new lighting. And on Cedar Springs, a brand-new gateway median is fully funded and set to break ground in the coming weeks.

Together, these efforts are transforming how people experience Turtle Creek—and it’s all because of you.

Meanwhile, the countdown is on for our two signature events—the Annual Gala and the Tour of Homes. This year’s Tour comes with a fun twist: an unintentional but perfectly fitting historic theme, echoing the bridges we’re restoring.

The Gala, of course, will once again deliver an unforgettable evening of skyline views, celebration, and community. Beyond the sparkle and fun, these events power everything we do. They’re our biggest fundraisers of the year, and your support keeps the momentum going strong.

When I interviewed for this role six years ago, someone asked if I might get bored after a long corporate career. My reply? "Not if you do it right." And it still holds true. With just two full-time employees and one part-time contract role, our small but mighty team pours heart and energy into every project. Sure, we get tired—but we’re never bored. The results are visible, the community is engaged, and the difference we’re making together is real.

So let’s keep the energy flowing. Join us at the Gala, step inside the Tour of Homes, and celebrate all the ways Turtle Creek is shining brighter than ever.

With gratitude and excitement,

President|CEO

Turtle Creek Association

Friends of Turtle Creek, we’re halfway there! Thanks to your generosity, we’ve raised $4,500 toward our $10,000 North Texas Giving Day goal—but we need your help to cross the finish line. Every gift, no matter the size, brings us closer to keeping Turtle Creek beautiful, safe, and thriving. Please give today and double the impact of your support! 💚

A Night to Remember: The TCA Gala

The Turtle Creek Association Gala returns in spectacular fashion, once again hosted at the chic Virgin Hotels Dallas. Guests will begin the evening with a reception high above the city, taking in dazzling skyline views from the outdoor patio in the sky. As the sun sets over Dallas, the celebration begins with flowing champagne, signature cocktails, and an array of delectable hors d’oeuvres. Guests will mingle, bid on an enticing lineup of silent auction items, and even capture the moment with a futuristic robot photographer—a favorite surprise from last year’s event.

At 7:00 p.m., the big reveal begins—what dazzling creation have Sharon Ballew and Mari Epperson prepared for us this year? We can already anticipate the collective “oohs” and “aahs” as breathtaking décor and table settings set the tone for an unforgettable evening. Guests will savor a gourmet three-course meal while enjoying a short program and building anticipation for the live auction, featuring exceptional experiences and one-of-a-kind treasures.

The night will crescendo as the lights dim and the stage comes alive with the high-energy performance of Limelight, part of Emerald City Band. With their infectious energy and incredible talent, Limelight guarantees the dance floor will be packed until the final note.

From skyline views to show-stopping entertainment, the Turtle Creek Association Gala is more than a party—it’s a celebration of community and purpose. Proceeds from the Gala directly support TCA’s mission to preserve, protect, and enhance the Turtle Creek Corridor.

Don’t miss this dazzling evening of elegance, excitement, and impact.

#2 - 3525 TURTLE CREEK BLVD.

The owners have thoughtfully restored the original terrace and its signature Brise Soleil to

create a true treehouse oasis among 68-year-old magnolias.

This iconic example of International Modernism, designed by renowned architect Howard Meyer in 1957, was Dallas’ very first luxury high-rise. Listed in the National Register of Historic Places and recognized by the Texas Historical Commission, the building holds a storied past, home to an illustrious roster of residents that has included movie stars, musical entertainers, politicians, and philanthropists.

Apartment 3E is a striking example of how history and contemporary style can coexist in harmony. Inside, the residence is elevated by remarkable design choices and artful touches: commissioned works by Davis Bates, glass art by Leslie Purdy, iconic chairs by American architect George Nakashima, and additional pieces by Paul Synder. Together, these elements create a living space that is as inspiring as it is welcoming—an extraordinary blend of architectural significance, natural beauty, and curated artistry.
