Dear Healthcare Leaders,
Summer is always a season of transition for HLNDV, as our chapter elections conclude in the spring and members of a new board slate begin their terms on June 1. It has been exciting to meet with this group and launch our year with a mix of continuing and new board members. At the same time, we thank outgoing board members for their service, creativity and dedication to the chapter and to healthcare in our region across the challenges that the last year has presented.
I would like to especially thank Emily Burrell, FACHE, who transitions from President to Past President for the next two years. Emily’s leadership, perspective and guidance of the chapter during this era of uncertainty have been critical. She has also been generous with her time and counsel over the years leading up to my transition into the role of President, modeling HLNDV’s values in the process. Thank you, Emily! I look forward to continuing to work closely with you over the next two years as well.
As we enter into this term, our focus is on implementation of HLNDV’s new strategic plan. The plan is rooted in our mission: to provide healthcare professionals with opportunities to grow, learn, and lead through education, collaboration, and networking. Our sights are on taking advantage of the scope of our chapter, creating strategic initiatives around Evolving Leadership Conversation; Inclusive Engagement, and Lifelong Development. These key areas of focus for the next two years will be driven by enhanced cross-committee collaboration and aimed at continuing to strengthen our unparalleled platform for cultivation of the region’s healthcare leaders.
Our chapter is looking ahead to the fall and beyond, anticipating being able to connect and reconnect in person with our members and sponsors, and with the greater healthcare community. We are continuing to shape what events, outreach and other areas will look like, and we may include different formats. Please stay tuned for announcements in our weekly email blasts and on our website for upcoming events and other opportunities.
If you would like to become involved with our chapter, we would be happy to welcome you into one of our committees. Please contact me at the email below, or our Volunteer Coordinator, Meredith Inniger, at volunteer@hlndv.achechapter.org
With best wishes,
Carey Gallagher, MBA, FACHE
President, HLNDV
