Fringe 2017
Our alums in the Toronto Fringe
"Inspired by the worldwide fringe movement, Toronto Fringe was founded by a cluster of local indie artists in 1989 to offer the “fringes” of the performing arts community a platform to create art at a grassroots level. It’s theatre by the people, for the people." - from fringetoronto.com

Each summer, Hart House Theatre is proud to see just how many of our recent alumni are creating their own work and living their love of theatre through the Toronto Fringe Festival. This summer is certainly no exception.
Be sure to add the following shows to your "must see" list:

THE SEAT NEXT TO THE KING features Kwaku Okyere ( Tideline) and is Stage Managed by Tara Mohan ( Tideline, Boeing Boeing, We the Family, etc...).

TEN CREATIVE WAYS TO DISPOSE OF YOUR CREMAINS Directed by Carly Chamberlain ( Much Ado About Nothing, Goodnight Desdemona..., etc).

POST NO BILLS includes performers Phoebe Hu and Sherman Tsang, both featured in We the Family.

THE FOOD PROJECT features performers Lindsey Middleton ( We the Family, Bone Cage) and Brandon Gillespie ( Boeing Boeing).

NITHY, ACE DETECTIVE - KidsFest is co-created by two Hart House Theatre alums, Arlin Dixon ( Twelfth Night, Hamlet) and Matthew Gorman ( Twelfth Night, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead).

ALEX THE ARTIST - KidsFest features Angela Sun ( Tideline) and is directed by Rebecca Ballarin ( 7 Stories). Be sure to see Angela Sun in another show: In Sundry Languages!

This list is by no means exhaustive and we have likely missed other shows and alum. artists worthy of mention. If so, let us know through our social media channels and we'll be sure to help spread the word about your work!
