Building a Bee
For each of our productions, our resident Videographer, Shashwat Sharma captures footage from the design and build of the show. These teasers show a little of the theatre's underbelly and the organized chaos of a production build, as well as give a glimpse into what's going to be presented on stage. Here's how we are building the upcoming "Bee":

Fund the Future for the Festival
Hart House Theatre is pleased to host the Sears Drama Festival each year. If you can, please give to support and sustain this work which has been pivotal in creating many shining starts in the performing arts.

Secure the future of the Sears Drama Festival!
News broke in August that the Sears Festivals lost their main source of funding, thus putting an end to festivals that are part of Canadian theatre's DNA. The reaction from students, parents, teachers, and their local communities was swift and devastating.

Here is your chance to make a difference!

In September, the Stratford Festival pledged to make a contribution. We are pleased to announce their support in the form of a $5,000 matching gift if we make our campaign goal!" These beloved local Drama Festivals are essential to drama programs in Ontario, BC and the Atlantic provinces. They provide opportunities for thousands of high school students to convene every year to share ideas, attend training workshops and, most of all, create new friendships and solidify artistic bonds.

While the National Theatre School of Canada (NTS) and the IATSE have joined forces to help secure the presentation of the 2018 edition of the Drama Festival, this edition cannot happen without you. Kids around the country are already hard at work putting on compelling plays, and right now, each community needs to step up.
