Welcome to the new Executive Director
Kandi Johnson!
Kandi Johnson is thrilled to be joining the Hayden Chamber of Commerce as the Executive Director. She is a highly motivated leader with over 20 years' experience in all aspects of banking, office management, administration, and project management. She is a proven leader in various environments with a focus in non-profit organizations.
Kandi has a strong history with the Hayden Chamber and community. She served on the Board of Directors 2009-2012, was selected as 2010 Hayden Citizen of the Year/Grand Marshall and was honored with the 2011 Hayden Chamber of Commerce President's Award.
She is a graduate of Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce Leadership 2011, serving as Vice-President/Treasurer. She also has a strong commitment to our community through volunteering with Ironman, CDA Summer Theatre, and the Museum of North Idaho.
Kandi attended North Idaho College with a focus on Communications and American History. She is a lifelong learner and most recently completed classes with the University of Idaho Spring 2018 Nonprofit Leadership Course.

Community Library Network Presents A Universe of Stories
Summer Reading for kids, teens, and adults blasts off Tuesday, June 11. This year's theme, A Universe of Stories, encourages everyone to explore the wonders of the universe and learn about the solar system. Members are invited to try something new: learn new facts about space, read a new book, try a new craft, meet new people, and much more! Best of all, all programs are free and open to everyone. 
The fun starts for kids with kick-off parties beginning Tuesday, June 11, at the Community Library Network at Post Falls. The parties continue through Friday, June 14, at Hayden, Athol, Rathdrum, Spirit Lake, and Pinehurst libraries. Come see Charlie the Noise Guy at Hayden or Rathdrum, touch a truck at Athol or enjoy a performance by the Traveling Lantern Theatre at Pinehurst.
Kids ages 8 to12 can join Bloxels, coding, and maker clubs, play NERF battles and more. Teens are invited to test their skills at Fandom Trivia, create art, write poetry and short stories, and more. Adults can have some summer fun, too, by reading for prizes.  Stop by your library and pick up the summer reading program guide or visit the website, CommunityLibrary.Net/Programs.
