United Way of North Idaho Pre-K Book Drive!

What it is:  Engage staff and attract the public to your venue by hosting a book collection box and promoting via print and online media.
What they can do:  Encourage donation of new and gently-used Pre-K books, or donate by text/website. Boxes or bins for book collection should be placed where they will be most visible, such as in an entryway or lobby, or in offices or individual classrooms. Boxes should be strong enough to hold a large number of books. It is a good idea to have one person responsible for checking the collection bin periodically during the book drive. Posters advertising the book drive should be placed by the book collection bin, and in prominent areas around the venue. Increase donations by challenging departments or staff and managers to compete.
What UWNI will do:  Provide posters and flyers, and market your location as a literacy advocate. 

What is it:  At the end of May bring your group to our offices for a cleaning/sorting party.
What to do:   Volunteers are needed to retrieve donations from collection sites. Then we need to sort books by age and clean them up for best presentation.
