We want to let you know that we are working on a variety of initiatives to help you stay healthy this year, particularly in light of the COVID-19 virus. As we are sure you are aware, the COVID-19 virus outbreak has now become a pressing issue, and we should take appropriate preventative actions; however, we should not panic, even when more cases come to the Milwaukee area as they inevitably will.
We have worked with our medical advisors as well as reviewed all of the publicly available information from the CDC and other similarly scientifically-backed public health resources.
The most significant thing you can do for prevention is to wash your hands regularly and avoid touching your face. In public places such as health clubs, you should also use hand sanitizer and wipe down equipment between uses.
To help you do this, we are installing new hand sanitizers throughout the clubs, adding even more wet wipes to more areas and identifying areas we can make “hands-free” by propping open doors. We have also invested in new cleaning equipment and more cleaning staff to disinfect areas that are frequently touched such as banisters, door handles, and similar. Over the coming days you will also see signage reminding everyone to participate in preventative actions to help keep everyone healthy.
Most importantly, if you are ill, please refrain from coming to the clubs so that you do not put others at risk. If you need to sneeze or cough, please do so into your elbow so that germs are not expelled into the air or onto surfaces that can infect others.
