The Huron Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the return of one of its most popular events — the Goderich Mayor’s Luncheon, scheduled for Friday, May 9, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at the Goderich Columbus Centre. This annual gathering brings together business and political leaders for an insightful discussion on the future of Goderich.
Hosted by the Huron Chamber of Commerce, the event will feature an address from Mayor Trevor Bazinet, who will provide updates on municipal priorities, development plans, and key issues affecting the town’s growth and prosperity. The luncheon is also known for attracting esteemed guest speakers, and this year is no exception.
Joining the Mayor are two distinguished leaders:
-
James Scongack, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President at Bruce Power. In February 2025, Scongack was appointed as co-chair of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce’s Ontario Business and Trade Leadership Coalition (OBTLC), a coalition uniting leaders from key trade-dependent sectors to champion business-driven solutions and advocate for effective government policies.
-
Jessica Linthorne, President & CEO of the Nuclear Innovation Institute (NII). Linthorne has been widely recognized for her leadership in rural economic development, regional collaboration, and innovation in public service delivery.
