ICDC Train the Trainer Course: 28 September – 4 October 2023

The International Camp Directors Course (ICDC) has been developed as a professional development course for camp managers, directors and operators and other experienced camp staff professionals in administrative roles. All courses are approved and administered by the International Camping Fellowship (ICF) using both local and international ICDC certified trainers.

2022 Abbott Fenn Druzhba Award: Linda Pulliam


The Abbott Fenn Druzhba Award is a special recognition of an individual, camp, or organization, which has made a significant and sustained contribution to international camping. The endowed contribution for the award was made by Abbott Fenn, a long-standing, active member of the American Camp Association and former owner/director of the Keewaydin Camps in New England, U.S.A. The award recognizes those who spread the benefit of the camp experience to improve world understanding.


Linda Pulliam, for all who have known her from before ICF formation in 1987 to her departure from the ICF Board in 2020, has been the heart of ICF and to this day ICF has remained in her heart.

2023 Abbott Fenn Druzhba Award: John "Jorgi" Jorgenson


Jorgi has dedicated thousands of volunteer hours to advance the mission and mandate of ICF. His committed belief in the values of experiential learning in an outdoor community has been unwavering. Jorgi is one of the most recognizable faces in international camping. He has travelled to every corner of the globe and the ripples of his life and his work have been felt during meetings, presentations and individual connections with camping leaders.

Annual Camp Workshop in Mexico (TAC 2023) - A report

 

The 2023 Taller Anuele de Campamentos in Mexico was held at Camp Santa Ursula in San Luis Potosi on February 18. Directors and senior staff from the 40 member camps in the association assembled well over 250 personnel from their camps for an early arrival to a great day of sharing and learning. The theme of ‘Engranando Mentes’ (Meshing or Engaging Minds) built upon the idea of the well-oiled machine in which every element of a great camp machine fits together perfectly and performs its part smoothly.
