As we celebrate mothers this month, here are some inspiring words from two of our marvelous IDA -Oregon Branch board member moms:
"The journey seems long and hard in the beginning, and it is, but seeing one of mine succeed in high school and the other thrive in college is a beautiful thing. Stay strong and seek help from others. You can do this!" - Rachel Hansen
"You know your child better than anyone else so trust your gut and never give up. Get early testing and intervention regardless of school advice. Remember to say the word "Dyslexia" often...say it, write it, learn about it and never let a school or teacher avoid, ignore or belittle "dyslexia". Above all, focus on your child's strengths instead of weaknesses. They truly are special and their brains works in unique and wonderful ways." - Tanya Haas
