A Note from the President & CEO
This holiday season is a great time for thought and reflection. We’ve had a tremendous year of growth. The Biennial BIO report (details below) shows some impressive numbers and is further proof that our collective work really does pay off.
On my most recent trip to Scotland, I was reminded how our unique partnership there has grown and strengthened over the years. Collaboratively, we are currently helping over a dozen companies bring forward innovative therapies, tools, and devices - broadening the network on both sides and building new partnerships between our institutions and regions.
And, of course, we celebrated a milestone this year; three decades as an association! We freshened up our brand with a vibrant new look, logo and website. Window dressing aside, we’re still the same great group of like-minded professionals dedicated to making Indiana the best place on earth for establishing, growing and maintaining life sciences businesses.
Thanks for your continued partnership helping Indiana lead in life sciences.
Happy holidays, friends!
Kristin

BIO President & CEO John F. Crowley's statement on the nomination of RFK, Jr. to be HHS Secretary
“A healthy and prosperous society is vitally important to the American people and to the world. The public health, economic security and our national security are best served by strong leadership that respects and advances science, nutrition and medicine and ensures that the United States and our allies continue to lead the world in biotechnology. Indeed, the rich tradition of ‘gold-standard scientific research’ and ‘evidenced-based science’ have always been at the core of our life-saving work to prevent, control and cure disease—and to provide access to healthy food security for all. This is the mission of America’s biotechnology companies. I have every confidence that we will continue to thrive and deliver on this important mission ahead. The world cannot wait. We look forward to working closely with President-elect Trump, his incoming Administration, and members of Congress on both sides of the aisle to achieve these mutual goals.”
