New Best Practice Published + Major Guideline Update Released from the Sanitation & Microbiological Control Technical Committee
Stainless Steel Passivation (BVQ-00008)
Cleaning and Sanitation Guideline (BVQ-00004)
Led by Jim Barker and industry SMEs from Solenis, Ecolab, and the Sanitation & Microbiological Control Technical Committee, these two publications establish standardized guidance for beverage processing operations. BVQ-00008 — Stainless Steel Passivation Best Practices provides protocols for cleaning, passivating, and derouging stainless-steel surfaces, while BVQ-00004 — Cleaning and Sanitation Guideline outlines updated practices for effective system sanitation as part of the broader effort to revise and segment the former Sanitation Manual.
