Committee Profile

The Water Quality and Treatment Technical Committee cultivates a forum and medium for addressing the most current and critical water quality issues for ingredient, utility and wastewater management. This includes regulatory issues current and future, innovative and breakthrough technologies, sustainable practices, monitoring and quality control, and most importantly, active discussions with subject matter experts.

The committee is represented by well over 100 combined years of expertise in production and water management with key individuals from manufacturing, consulting, and solution offering. This year’s must-attend agenda includes focus on innovative technology in membrane separations with case studies ( Ronit Erlitzki - Flow Reversal RO, Anthony Amendola – Membrane Bioreactor), removal of oxidants ( Kirtipal Barse, John Sherbondy – Dechlorination-Dechloramination) , and sanitation best practices for key equipment ( Andy Reims, Roy Clackum – GAC). An excellent paper addressing Membrane Applications Do's and Don’ts in the Beverage Industry by Doug Glanz was elevated from a 2019 session to a 2020 general session.
