Please join the Beverage Institute team in wishing a farewell and “thank you” to Sally Potter for her years of service as she retires from the Beverage Institute by ISBT®.
In April 2015, Sally took on the role that became responsible for creating the Beverage Institute. She has been wildly successful, leaving a legacy of 6 courses created, which include 32 individual education modules, plus leading 13 seminars at BevTech. 2020 started with a boom as the Beverage Institute set new enrollment records for each month so far!
Sally has a long record of service with the ISBT. She has been a member for 20 years and has served in many roles besides the Beverage Institute. She was President in 2014, served on the ISBT Board of Directors for 12 years, and then served on the Board for 3 additional years as the Beverage Institute Director. As a long-time packaging expert for the Coca-Cola Company, Sally led many of the Packaging Technology Technical Committee’s subcommittees on PET Bottle Test Procedures, Plastic Closure Test Procedures, and Sports Closure Safety Tests Procedures. She was also on many other subcommittees dealing with subjects such as stress cracks, thread finish reviews, and CO2 test procedures.
Sally says, “I would like to thank all the volunteers who created and reviewed content for the Beverage Institute! We all want the beverage industry to be safe, healthy, and prosperous, and we do this by sharing knowledge. Because of your willingness to share your knowledge and your time, we are improving our industry for the future. I ask that you all continue to support Tom Reimer as he carries on this important strategic mission for ISBT. And I’m not saying good-bye just yet — maybe I’ll see you in Orlando!”
Thank you, Sally, for your selfless service in the creation of the Beverage Institute!
Good luck, and we hope you enjoy your retirement!

- Return To Work Requirements: provides a model set of requirements for assessing the ability of employees to return to work after exposure to COVID-19.
- Visitor Site Access Questions: offers a model questionnaire that companies can use for potential visitors to company facilities.
- Visitor Access Sign: provides a model sign that companies can use to educate potential visitors to company facilities.
These resources may be accessed from CGA's online COVID-19 Industry Toolkit:
