Veteran's day
The Iberville Museum Association will be commemorating World War II veterans that were killed during the war with a new dedication panel. Museum chairman and veteran, James "Fry" Hymel is leading the motion, and Stella Tanoos of Plaquemine, LA has headed the research for the dedication. The panel is to be installed for the Iberville Parish Veteran's day celebration in November of this year.
Have your Saturday morning cup of coffee with us and learn some local history!

This Saturday, September 29 at 10:00 A.M., James "Fry" Hymel will discuss his book, A Human Interest Look at the Carrie B .

James "Fry" Hymel is a life-long resident of Iberville Parish, a veteran, a retiree of Shell Oil Company, and the current chairman of the board for the Iberville Museum. He grew up listening to his grandfather Marionneaux's riverboat life, which drove his interest in writing about the "Human Interest" side of the men and women who gave lifetime careers to river boating. Books will be available for purchase and signing.
