“I wash students’ clothes every day. Some haven’t had a clean outfit in several days. When we can wash their clothes and give them hygiene products to take home, you can see the difference — they feel more comfortable, more confident, more themselves.”— Social Worker, Jayhawk USD 346

This is what dignity looks like in action.

And last month, because of you, 768,970 hygiene items were distributed across our community — each one helping someone feel clean, confident, and cared for.

Highlighting Our Corporate Volunteers

Cerris Systems Volunteers

Corporate volunteering isn’t just growing — it’s becoming more personal and purpose-driven than ever.

In January alone, 217 volunteers from 12 companies served at Giving the Basics, helping prepare and distribute hygiene essentials to students, families, and seniors across our community.

One volunteer shared:

“There was a point in my youth when I didn’t have the basics. It was embarrassing and hard to be around others. Doing this makes me appreciate that one less person will be like that.”

That’s what volunteering here looks like — meaningful, hands-on work that restores dignity in tangible ways.

Whether you come with coworkers, friends, or on your own, your time directly impacts someone who needs the basics.

Help Make Our Spring Drive A Success!

Spring Showers is our April virtual hygiene drive supporting local schools with the basics students need to feel clean, confident, and ready to learn.

Teams are signing up to provide high-need items like shampoo, deodorant, and feminine hygiene products.

Last year, Spring Showers helped provide hundreds of thousands of hygiene items to students across our community. This year, we’re aiming even higher.
