Dear Members of the Sacred Heart Community,
As announced on July 21st, Micheline Dutil has agreed to serve as Interim Head of School for the upcoming academic year while we conduct a national search for the Permanent Head. We are excited to have Mrs. Dutil on board and are already benefitting from her leadership and wisdom.
We are pleased to report that we have retained the services of Carney, Sandoe & Associates, a consulting firm with significant experience in independent and Catholic school leadership searches. Bob Regan is the founder and head of the firm’s Catholic Schools Practice and will be leading the search along with his colleagues Barbara Daush and Beth Dietz. Bob, Barbara and Beth are excited about working with us and look forward to meeting members of our community.
The Academy of the Sacred Heart has long benefited from the strength and collaboration of our school community of students, parents, alumnae, faculty, staff and friends. As we begin the search for Sacred Heart’s next Head of School, we look to you, the Sacred Heart community, to provide critical input for our search process.
The search process we are planning, supported by Carney Sandoe, is protocol-driven and built on extensive constituent engagement. Initially, we are circulating an online community survey seeking your thoughts on key issues affecting our school and the leadership qualities and qualifications you seek in our next Head of School. This survey also provides an opportunity to nominate potential candidates or suggest individuals whom you believe may be helpful in our networking efforts. We encourage you to take the time to complete this survey.
The next step will include a series of private meetings to better acquaint Carney Sandoe with Sacred Heart and the opportunities and challenges confronting us and our new leader. Bob Regan, Barbara Daush and Beth Dietz will spend two full days meeting with key constituents including faculty, staff, parents, students, alumnae, as well as the Board of Trustees and Search Committee. We will be soliciting participation from our community to represent these constituencies over the coming weeks.
