AUGUST 2025:

Greetings!

Our resources are not just instruments—they are opportunities to extend Kingdom impact. The Bible encourages us: “One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want” (Proverbs 11:24). By investing with intention and faith, your stewardship becomes a testimony of trust in God’s provision. May you steward with wisdom, contentment, and hope rooted in His sovereignty—knowing that every faithful choice echoes into eternity.

Championing Worker Rights

Praxis and its investor partners recently met with Target to address human rights due diligence, fair wages, and worker equity. For over five years, engagements have guided Target to adopt robust supplier standards—covering areas like forced labor, child labor, and ethical business practices through its Standards of Vendor Engagement. Highlights included collaboration with Better Buying to encourage fair purchasing practices, and initiatives to mitigate child labor risks in U.S. agriculture. The discussion also explored living wage implementation tailored to local store economics and benefit structures across employee groups.

This story showcases how shareholder engagement can drive corporate progress on justice and dignity. Even if you don’t directly hold shares in Target, your faith-aligned investing helps pressure companies toward ethical practices, reinforcing Kingdom influence in the marketplace.

Faithful stewardship through capital enables real-world advancement in workers’ rights and human flourishing.

Through our investment values, God’s justice and love are made visible in the corporate sphere.

Volatility has dropped across the markets in recent weeks—a sharp contrast to the uncertainty we saw earlier this year. While things feel calmer now, the late summer and fall months often bring unexpected changes. As always, it’s wise to stay prepared and grounded, especially with global events and economic policies shifting.

Here in the U.S., earnings reports are mixed. Some companies are adjusting their forecasts due to trade issues and slower consumer activity. Interest rates remain steady for now, but all eyes are on what the Federal Reserve might do next.

Globally, optimism is growing as some countries are expected to lower interest rates to help their economies. But while markets rise and fall, our confidence rests in God’s steady hand.

Scriptures to hold onto:

“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)

“Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:21)

As Christian investors, our portfolios reveal our priorities. Do they reflect eternity, justice, and flourishing? When market noise tempts us, may we anchor our decisions in stewardship, not speculation. Investing well is not just about growth—it’s about aligning capital with Kingdom values.
