Join us on January 24th as we commemorate the 250^th anniversary of the Juan Bautista de Anza Expedition and the 75^th anniversary of CCCHS.

As the first color TV program was being broadcast by CBS in 1950, the idea of creating a Contra Costa County historical society was first discussed by Louis Stein and Judge A.F. Bray. On April 30, 1951, the Contra Costa County Historical Society was formally created with Judge A.F. Bray as its first President.

As a thank you to our Society members, whose support has allowed CCCHS to grow and thrive for 75 years, we are taking you back to 1951!

The CCCHS Board is treating members to the 1951 Inaugural Membership Meeting ticket price of $2.00.
