Free Admission Day!
Houston Audubon's High Island Sanctuaries
Saturday, April 4
8 am - 5 pm
On Saturday, April 4th, enjoy free admission to all of Houston Audubon's High Island sanctuaries! These sanctuaries are a haven for birds and visitors - we welcome almost 400 species of birds and thousands of visitors from all 50 states and 20+ different countries! On our free admission day, staff and volunteers will be available to answer all your bird questions. We'll also have free classes in the Morse Field Station, Flock Talks at the Rookery, and volunteers stationed throughout the McGovern Canopy Walkway to help you spot wildlife – from birds to turtles to gators!
Bring the family out for a day of nature exploration with the birds!

Celebration of Life - Janice Martin Grossheim
We join our community in celebrating the life of Janice Martin Grossheim, a woman whose warmth, kindness, and vibrant spirit left a lasting impression on so many. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who had the joy of knowing her.
All who knew and loved Janice are invited to gather, share stories, and honor her life at the Celebration of Life. A beach memorial will also be held at a later date, with details to be announced.
We hope you’ll join us in remembering a life so well lived.

The Crystal Beach Fire Department Crawfish Boil is coming up! Make plans to come out and support our local fire department. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and your support helps us continue serving and protecting our community. We will also be reaching out to local businesses and individuals for event sponsors.
