In the works, In-person Dialogues Across the Ages at Silver Creek Middle School
JCA Interages is finalizing details for a new In-person Dialogues Across the Ages program, anticipated for February and March of 2022. The program would take place on Thursdays from 3:15 to 4:15. For this site, the program is a bit different from other Dialogues. In addition to discussions, the students will produce reflective projects. Dialogues Across the Ages engages volunteers and students in cross-age discussions of current events and social studies topics. The two generations learn about each other’s interests, lifestyles and views during these multi-week sessions, which are designed to foster mutual understanding and respect while developing student leadership skills.
Please contact Indira Dingledine if you are interested: idingledine@accessjca.org or (202) 441-0357. A valid MCPS badge is required.

We wish a fond farewell to Phyllis Solomon
Here is a message from Program Coordinator Phyllis Solomon.
It is with very mixed emotions that I have decided to leave my position from JCA Interages. I started out as a Grandreader Volunteer about 6 years ago. I moved on to an OUTREACH position within JCA and then became a Program Coordinator with Interages. I have loved working with my colleagues and of course, all of YOU, the amazing volunteers - those that did one-on-one tutoring in the schools and especially those of you that I saw weekly in the Grandreaders programs. I have appreciated everyone's dedication, especially during these last 2 years. I will miss all of you and I wish you all success and happiness in the years ahead. Happy holidays! - Phyllis
