We come to find out what happens when prayer has the potential to move us toward joy and transformation. Childminding provided for young children. Please RSVP to let us know you're coming: HERE .
Good news! Lamoille Community House was approved in Hyde Park!
The town of Hyde Park approved the opening of the Lamoille Community House, aka the yellow house, pending a 30 day appeal period. A special thank you to Jacquie Mauer for her impressive efforts as shelter coordinator. Read more here:  Stowe Reporter: Hyde Park approves homeless shelter or listen here  on VPR: Closed hotel offers shelter in Hyde Park.

Volunteers needed: The Lamoille Community House (of which JCOGS is a partner) will continue to run a temporary adult shelter at the Plaza Hotel in Northgate Plaza, Morrisville until mid-January. Volunteers are needed to bring in dinner, and to help staff and guests daily 4:30-8:30pm, and weekday mornings from 6-7am, and weekends from 6:30-8:30am. Deepening Prayer Shabbat service + oneg
Friday, January 4, 6 p.m.
Do you sometimes feel lost during services? Do you have questions about the meaning and experience of prayer? At each of these services, we look in depth at one prayer in our Friday night tradition and have a meaningful conversation on its themes. We also explore some of the historical background and linguistic meaning of our liturgy in the entire service, as well as focus on the meaning of prayer itself.
Après Ski Yoga
Begins Saturday, January 5, 4:15 - 5:15 p.m.

Suggested donation in appreciation of Marlena's time for the whole six week course is $36. To register, please contact  olivia.easdale@jcogs.org
Havdalah in Pajamas

We gather in the early darkness for engaging activities to say goodbye to the sweet holiness of Shabbat and ready ourselves for the new week. Movement, contemplative collage, moonlit nature walks, soulful singing. Come in pjs or comfy, cozy clothes.
