NEWSLETTER | JANUARY 2020
RAC Family,

Responsibility… Many people have different ideas of what responsibility means. Some say it’s being held accountable to something. Others state it’s a moral obligation to behave correctly. However, in its essence, responsibility means the “ability to respond.”

Taking responsibility for yourself is a profound reality of life. No one else can accept responsibility for your life, despite what you may think. There is no other road in life but to accept responsibility. If you don’t account for your life, every bit of it, then who will?

Accepting responsibility begins with giving up the hope that someone else will care for you. What are you if you are not responsible for your own life? Who is running you? Who should be running you? Other people do not have an accurate view of your inner world, your plans, or potential. So why would you think that your life is someone else’s responsibility?

You are responsible for what you say.
You are responsible for who you are.
You are responsible for how you feel.
You are responsible for what you do.

Once you abandon the belief that others are responsible for you and accept the hard reality that you alone are responsible for your own life, you just might discover the liberating truth that your life is in your own hands. Go after your dreams and unlock your potential.

See you on the fitness floor, -BG
