Happy New Year to you and yours. As we navigate these winter months, many are wondering what the future has in store. The past two years have reminded us that the future is unpredictable. But even in the face of a challenging pandemic, and the resulting inflation and labor crises coupled with an unprecedented increase in consumer demand, I am reminded that we are faced with both difficulties and blessings. The strain on our supply chain has been evident, but the hardest-working muscles become the strongest. We are a leaner and more resilient industry as a result of these adversities; we have learned valuable lessons that have made us better prepared for future crises. Such accomplishments should be celebrated.

We’re all familiar with the concept of New Year’s resolutions, and as we move into 2022, iGPS has been focused on setting goals and steadfastly pursuing them. For example, as part of our efforts to maintain top-level customer satisfaction, we set a goal of improving our Net Promoter Score®. I’m pleased to report that our latest score is four points above 2020 and exceeds industrywide averages. As the saying goes, that which gets measured gets improved. Thank you to all the customers that participated in this important survey.

When we think about starting off the New Year with a clean slate and upbeat outlook, it helps also to think about our intentions and mindset. Whereas goals are measurable and have an end result in mind, intentions are more about our approach and attitude. I encourage you to kick of 2022 with positive and confident intentions, and perhaps to inspire your colleagues to do likewise. The topic of goals and intentions is explored more thoroughly in this week’s edition of the iGPS blog.

Will it be an easy year? I doubt it. But do we have what it takes to confront the year head-on, and make it a great one? Absolutely yes — no doubts about that. Looking forward to seeing how it takes shape.
