new city attorney

After conducting a thorough search and vetting 13 candidates, the city appointed Bickerstaff Heath Delgado Acosta as general counsel.
City Council calls special election for Nov. 6
The City of Lakeway will conduct its first November election in several years for two positions on the City Council.
Councilmember Dwight Haley's seat and Jean Hennagin's vacated position will be up for election.
The first day for candidates to file is July 23.
Swim Center temporarily closing to make repairs
Lakeway City Council approved two contracts Monday to replaster the Lakeway Swim Center's lap pool and resurface its pool deck.
Progressive Commercial Aquatics was awarded the replaster job, and SUNDEK was awarded the pool deck resurfacing job.
To perform the work, the lap pool will close Aug. 15 and re-open Sept. 17.
Baylor Scott & White Health and Select Medical on July 1 acquired Vibra Rehabilitation Hospital of Lake Travis, a 36-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Lakeway behind H-E-B.
The facility will be operated as the Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation – Lakeway.
Lakeway Building and Development Services Department is reviewing site development plans for Jason's Deli to go into the Oaks at Lakeway retail center.
The restaurant is requesting a 4,770-square-foot pad site fronting RM 620 with a new drive-through concept to serve more order ahead customers.
