NRRC Self Care and Wellness Benefit
The NRRC and the Ambassador Committee are excited to introduce to its members a new benefit emphasizing self-care and wellness.

During these challenging times, the Chamber has kept its members well informed of all vital business-related issues and especially Covid-19 related issues. However, self-care and wellness are equally important to every business.

We recognize there are many members who can add value to our new benefit and would like to invite any and all members who feel they can make any type of a contribution to help fellow members; contributions such as offering a webinar, writing a newsletter article, a blog post, offering or extending a service or discount. Any type of contribution will be greatly appreciated by the Chamber and its members.

Additionally, we believe that sharing our stories is essential to self-care and wellness, so, the Chamber is also expanding its Member Spotlight series.

In addition to profiling your business, a Member Spotlight can now allow members to share their stories during these hard times, whether it's how you found success, overcame a challenge, or dealt with hardships. Ultimately, our goal is for members to help one another.

If you are interested in making any type of contribution, or participating in a Member Spotlight, please reach out to any member of the Ambassador Committee and to please refer to the Chamber directory for their contact information.

We look forward to hearing from many of you.

Sincerely,

The Ambassadors

Statewide Small Business Recovery Survey
Dear Business Owner,

The Neponset River Regional Chamber along with the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center has partnered with the MassINC Polling Group and others to conduct an important statewide survey about how the coronavirus has impacted small businesses in Massachusetts. We are asking for your input to ensure that economic recovery programs and policies are informed by your current needs.

This survey is for small businesses with 500 employees or less. It’s available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole and Mandarin. It should take less than 10 minutes of your time. Your answers will be analyzed together with other responses and will never be used to identify you personally. This survey will be open for a short period of time, so please respond as soon as possible.

Thank you very much for participating in this important initiative. Please feel free to share this survey with other Massachusetts business owners to ensure wide representation.
MBAE receives 2020 Excellence in Advocacy Award
As you know, the Chamber is a partner with the Massachusetts Business Alliance for Education. We are pleased to see that they were recently recognized for their advocacy work on behalf of our communities' students.

MBAE was honored to accept the 2020 Nonprofit Excellence Award in Advocacy from the Massachusetts Nonprofit Network (MNN) at a virtual event last week sponsored by Citizens Bank. The award recognizes a nonprofit organization whose work resulted in significant progress on a public policy issue.

MBAE and the employers we represent believe that an excellent public education system is the essential foundation of a sound and equitable economy. MBAE won this award for our work helping pass legislation, the Student Opportunity Act, that increased funding for public schools, targeted the bulk of the new funding to districts serving students most in need, and ensured new funds will be effectively leveraged to close socio-economic and racial education achievement gaps.
Member Benefit of the Month: Free Job Postings

We recognize that many businesses are not thinking about hiring employees at this time. However, there are certain sectors that are in serious need of adding staff. Also, as businesses begin to ramp up again, there may be a need for finding new employees.

The Chamber has a free job bank page on its website.

Any member can go to our homepage and click the button "Find/Post Jobs" and you will be taken to a page where you can add your job listings.
