USHJA and Horse & Country TV Announce USHJA TV
In a new partnership with Horse & Country TV, a new branded USHJA channel environment, USHJA TV, is now available within H&C's existing streaming service! USHJA TV features a selection of content from the 2020 Gold Star Clinics and 2019 USHJA Championships, as well as masterclasses from top riders and highlights from dozens of international jumping classes. The live events portion of the channel is expected to kick off in August with the 2020 Platinum Performance/USHJA Green Hunter Incentive Championships and Platinum Performance/USHJA International Hunter Derby Championship.

Subscribers will be able to access USHJA TV both online and through Horse & Country TV’s proprietary apps, as well as through third-party services such as Roku, Apple TV, Android TV and Amazon Fire.
Introducing the USHJA Official Podcast, USHJA On Course

The USHJA is excited to announce USHJA On Course, the official podcast of the Association. Hosted by two members of USHJA staff, Terisé Cole and Tori Bilas, On Course will cover aspects of the sport members have always wanted to know more about, tricks of the trade from prominent members of the community and more. Tune in each month as Cole and Bilas chat with juniors, amateurs and professionals in the industry.

Join the USHJA Ride n' Win Challenge with Prospeqs!

What? USHJA Ride n’ Win is a rewards system for dedicated riders who are looking to join the community and share their commitment to horsemanship! You earn points for documenting and sharing your journey via Prospeqs, a ride tracking app, and the top point-earners win prizes.

When? Between now and November 1, 2020.

Where? The Prospeqs app, available on the Apple Store or Google Play.

How? Earn points for joining the challenge; sharing your ride with a photo or video to USHJA; sharing photo or video of your horse participating in a USHJA program, such as the USHJA National Hunter Derby; sharing your ride from Prospeqs to social media using #USHJARidenWin; and so much more!

The Second Round of USHJA Feed Aid Applications Close TODAY!
After providing relief to more than 170 farms and 2,168 lesson horses that would have not been able to afford feed due to financial hardships caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, a second round for applications to the USHJA Feed Aid initiative opened June 22 and closes today, July 13 at 5 p.m.!

Individuals can also donate to help fellow equestrians in need due to financial hardships as a result of the pandemic. The USHJA, through its Foundation, will match donations up to $300,000.
USHJA Gladstone Cup Equitation Classic - West Entries Still Open
Hey Juniors, headed to the Sonoma Horse Park this week for the Adequan/USEF Junior Hunter Championships – West Coast? For 2020 only, the qualifying criteria for the USHJA Gladstone Cup Equitation Classic, presented by Intermont Equestrian at Emory & Henry College, West Coast event has been modified to allow all Active USHJA junior members to participate! Entries are open until 24 hours before the competition on Friday, July 17. Find the prize list here.

2020 Platinum Performance/USHJA Hunter Week is Quickly Approaching

The USHJA is excited for the 2020  Platinum Performance/USHJA Hunter Week, featuring the Platinum Performance/ USHJA Green Hunter Incentive Championships  and Platinum Performance/ USHJA International Hunter Derby Championship . Held at the Kentucky Horse Park on August 11-15, the annual Hunter Week brings together the best Hunters for a thrilling week of competition. Catch all the action live at Horse & Country TV and the new USHJA channel, USHJA TV!
The Platinum Performance/ USHJA Green Hunter Incentive Championships will kick off the week, August 11-13. For 2020 only, all horses enrolled in the Green Hunter Incentive Program and eligible to compete in a Green Hunter Incentive class are invited to participate in the Green Hunter Incentive Championships. Horses must be enrolled in the program prior to entering the Championships, and the $850 class entry fee must be submitted with the entry forms. Entries close July 22.
Platinum Performance/ USHJA International Hunter Derby Championship will finish off the week, August 13-15.This year, all horses enrolled in the International Hunter Derby program and eligible to compete in an International Hunter Derby are invited to participate in the International Hunter Derby Championship. Horses must be enrolled in the program prior to entering the Championships, and the $1,000 class entry fee must be submitted with the entry forms. Entries close July 22.
New Dates and Location for 2020 USHJA Green Hunter Incentive Regional Northwest Championship
The 2020 USHJA Green Hunter Incentive Regional Northwest Championship will now be held at the Northwest Spectacular in Wilsonville, Oregon, August 26-30.
USHJA Online Clinics at USEF Pony Finals
This year, all USHJA clinics during USEF Pony Finals, presented by Collecting Gaits Farm, will be held online and are free to the public. Check out the schedule below to participate in these free educational opportunities and learn more at ushja.org/PonyFinalsClinic.

Online clinics will go live on the following days:
  • Monday, August 3, at 9 a.m.: Model Video with Bill Schaub
  • Tuesday, August 4, at 7 p.m.: Sports Psychology with Jennifer Speisman
  • Wednesday, August 5, at 7 p.m.: Dress to Impress with Archie Cox
  • Thursday, August 6, at 7 p.m.: After Show Care with Dr. Sarah Cohen

Submit questions for Tuesday's sports psychology presentation to education@ushja.org by July 31 at 5 p.m. ET.
Change to 2020 Stirrup Cup Awards
Due to the decreased number of horse shows in 2020, in order to earn points to be eligible for a Stirrup Cup award, a horse must compete in at least one Regional I or II competition during the current competition year. Previous criteria required horses to compete in at least three competitions.
Qualifying Information for 2020 AON/USHJA National Championships Now Available
Qualifying information for the 2020 AON/ USHJA National Championships is now available online. The Championships are set to return to The Las Vegas National, CSI-W, November 16-22, 2020 but are subject to cancellation or change due to COVID-19.

Members qualify largely based on Zone Horse of the Year points or Zone events. Points earned from competitions with a start date from December 1, 2019 to August 31, 2020 will count toward qualifying. Due to the cancellation of the 2020 Zone Jumper Team Championships and Platinum Jumper Championships, qualifying requirements for the USEF/USHJA National Jumper Championships have been adjusted. Additionally, USHJA Affiliates are invited to send their best 2' and 2'6" horse-and-rider combinations to compete in the Affiliate Championships.

All entrants must pre-enter the competition with a nonrefundable $50 application fee by August 31. The deadline for affiliate organization entries is September 30. Keep an eye out for applications opening soon.
Sport History Spotlight: Medals, Memories & Milestones

We invite you to experience a 360° virtual tour of the USHJA Wheeler Museum’s “Medals, Memories & Milestones: Great Moments in American Show Jumping” exhibit. This narrated tour points out highlights while allowing you to explore all corners of the exhibit.

“Medals, Memories & Milestones” showcases the legendary horses and people who have reached the highest level of the sport. Through items and stories from the Show Jumping Hall of Fame, as well as materials from riders, owners and grooms, the exhibit traces the evolution of national and international show jumping in the U.S.
