President’s note:

Great News! We are excited to announce that Cheri Straka has been appointed to our Leadership Team as Golf Events Chair!

Cheri brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and organizational talent from her role as President of the CCWGA (Collier County Women's Golf Association), along with extensive technical expertise using Golf Genius and other golf related applications. She is a wonderful addition to our team, and we're thrilled to have her leadership as we continue to grow our chapter.

We also hope to welcome many new members from the CCWGA into the LPGA Amateurs SWFL community. This is a wonderful opportunity to expand our friendships, strengthen our chapter, and enjoy even more great golf!

Please join me in giving Cheri a very warm welcome! We look forward to an amazing lineup of golf events under her leadership.

With so many new members and exciting events on the horizon, we encourage everyone to take advantage of our fantastic summer golf schedule. Get out on the course, introduce yourself to someone new, make everyone feel welcome and included, and build new friendships along the way. Our chapter is at its best when everyone feels connected, supported, and part of the fun.

2026 LPGA Amateurs SWFL Chapter Leadership Team

We are heartbroken to announce that Carol Rout, 79, passed away on 17 June after a short hospitalization from a stroke. 

Carol’s husband George does not plan on a celebration of life or other service. However, several LPGA Amateurs members and friends of Carol are planning to sit for a meal and toast to our dear friend on 6 August location TBD.

Congratulations to our winners - SWFL Chapter   

They won the trophy and the honor of hosting the event next year.

SWFL and FL/GA-Redhills both won 2 matches. The tie breaker of holes won gave SWFL the edge by 1 hole.

It was quite unfortunate that not everyone got to finish their rounds. There were 7 matches not finished that were either tied, 1 up or 2 up with 2 to 3 holes to play.
