Loan Growth in Pennsylvania!
Hyperion Bank is proud to announce that we have moved up from #3 to #2 in Stackfolio's ranking for 12-month loan growth in Pennsylvania's financial institutions. How does a small community bank achieve this important accomplishment? By reinvesting in our community! But we didn't do it alone...

Thank you to all our deposit and loan customers, individuals and businesses. Together, we are building a thriving community and making our neighborhood and region a great place to work and live.

(And if you love our personal service and mobile convenience, tell your friends and colleagues and review us on Google and Yelp! We welcome new customers!)

Fishtown & Kensington: Housing Rising
HYPERION BANK NEIGHBORHOODS SHOW STRONGEST APARTMENT RENT GROWTH IN PHILADELPHIA; KENSINGTON EMERGING AS FOR-SALE MARKET

Philadelphia Business Journal reporter Natalie Kostelni recently reported that the number of apartments under construction in Fishtown and Kensington is rising, according to research firm Delta Associates. Delta's data also showed that the North Philadelphia sub-market, which includes neighborhoods around Hyperion Bank, led the City in rent growth--a sign that our community is thriving! In our sub-market, apartment rental rates rose by 3.6 percent in the first quarter of 2019, as compared to the same period last year, while Center City rent in 1Q 2019 increased by only 2.5 percent. The report noted that "North Philadelphia is beginning to find its place in a quickly changing market."

If you're thinking about turning your monthly rent payments into equity in a home, note that Delta's report cited Kensington as an emerging for-sale market, with activity spurred by the Federal Opportunity Zone program.

Hyperion Bank is proud to be one of the first lenders to build this community by contributing to the growth of small businesses and apartment developments in Fishtown, Northern Liberties, Kensington and beyond. Whether you are seeking a commercial loan to serve all the residents in these neighborhoods or locate your business in a vibrant community--or you need a residential mortgage loan to buy your home here, Hyperion Bank can help with excellent personal service and knowledgeable lenders. We know these neighborhoods, so talk to us first.

And if you've just moved in to the area, welcome! Please stop by Hyperion Bank at 2nd & Girard and say hello. Our friendly team will gladly introduce you to our convenient banking services. We'd love to be your neighborhood bank!
