All Will Know the Song of Purple Summer
Reverend Scott McNeill
Voces Novae will join us for a service that encourages us to look for the joy of  summer, whether it's June-September, or a season of our lives where we find warmth, energy, and contentment.
This Sunday in Religious Education: Zest
This week in RE we are embracing the new theme of Zest! Preschool will hear You Be You and celebrate everyone's uniqueness. K-8 will gear up for participating in the community Fourth of July parade--please come dressed to mess! Middle school and high school youth groups are on hiatus for the summer.
This Sunday, 4th of July Parade Prep Session!
We need your help this Sunday. Come work with our children in Religious Education (during both services) to create a banner for the parade, and at 10:30 in  Room 210 start making signs and planning floats for the parade.  Bring your poster ideas. Poster board and markers will be available to start creating posters to be carried in the parade.  If you are interested in working with a group on a small, wagon sized, float, come and start a plan.  Mark your calendar! Another prep session is scheduled for Wednesday, June 14 at 6:00 pm with pizza.  Sign up to help here.  There is something for everyone!  --Ann LeDuc

Habitat UNITY Youth Build, June 10
Youth and young people 14 years and older are invited to participate in the UNITY Youth Build Day on  June 10  for a half day or full day to help complete the interfaith build for the Diaz family. Youth are asked to fund raise $100, but the UU Habitat Task Force will likely be able to sponsor your participation. Youth from other faith communities are volunteering that day, along with several UU adults. If interested, contact Barb Berggoetz right away at  barbberg@bluemarble.net .
Lost and Found Alert
Missing a jacket, water bottle, scarf, umbrella, shirt, sweater, hat or gloves? Please check out the very nice collection of lost and found items on the Courtyard coat rack. We'll be taking it all to Goodwill by mid-June.

You asked, and we listened. Many of you have asked for programs on deepening spirituality, and this week we made a $1500 deposit for "Wellspring," a pilot program for deepening spirituality that will begin  next fall.
Marsh Stores Likely to Close -- Come Buy Some Marsh Cards!
We were as surprised as you were to learn that the two remaining Marsh stores in Bloomington may be closing soon. We have a pretty good stock of Marsh grocery cards that we would like to sell before the middle of June. There are certain to be some good deals at Marsh in the near future, so buy some Marsh cards from us and stock up! Grocery cards are available for sale in the Commons every Sunday morning, 10:15-11:00 a.m. Our grocery card program contributed $7,000 to our operating budget this year.  Thank you for participating!
