Coming Up - Important Dates and Events!

The Solemnity of Corpus Christi - Sunday, June 7th at 10am mass

This beautiful celebration is a public witness of faith in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist - His Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. Following the conclusion of the 10a mass on June 7th, the Blessed Sacrament will be carried in procession from the church through the streets to Pennsylvania Park and back to the church. The faithful will follow in prayer, song, and devotion to our Eucharistic Lord. The procession will conclude with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament in the church. All parishioners and visitors are encouraged to participate in this beautiful expression of our Catholic faith. The Corpus Christi procession reminds us of the Church's mission to bring Christ into the world.

Protect Young Eyes - SFX has partnered with Protect Young Eyes to bring awareness to parents for creating safer digital spaces for our children.  In prior years we have had Chris McKenna talk with our students about digital safety, and lead parent talks.  I strongly encourage parents to subscribe to the PYE monthly newsletter.  Click the link below to read the June 2026 edition of PYE Download and subscribe to have the newsletter sent to your inbox each month.  There is great guidance in each newsletter for parents to bring attention to the latest in internet dangers, providing additional resources, and highlighting digital safety features to protect your child.

The LAST day of school is on Wednesday, June 10th - dismissal is at 11:40AM.

We had our last PTO meeting of the year on Monday. We will be providing lunch to our teachers on Monday, June 8th. Thank you to ALL volunteers and donors who made this such a successful school year for the PTO. We look forward to next year!

Field Day was SUCH a fun day! Some of the activities included kickball, relay, sprints, soccer, golf, capture the flag, and a water balloon toss. It was a beautiful day. THANK YOU to Mr Ralph (and his wife and mother) and ALL of our parent volunteers for making this the best field day YET!

On Tuesday, the 4th graders were at The Little Traverse History Museum for "One Room SchoolHouse". They had been preparing for this day for months! Each student needed to memorize and recite a poem and bible verse. They also had a spelling bee, Catechism bee, and math flashcards bee. It was a busy day full of old fashioned outfits and they even had a visit from "Mrs Cushman" to learn about the history of Petoskey!

Eight years ago the students and teachers created an award to honor the passing of our friend, Samuel Myers. Each year we honor a student who reminds us of Samuel. Congratulations to this year’s recipient, Santiago Morado.

Thursday was "Revolutionary Days" for the 5th grade! The assembly room was transformed into a small city and students were required to choose an occupation; we had soldiers, seamstresses, apothecaries, potters, and more!

Congratulations to our 8th grade students who graduated on Thursday evening - we celebrated with a beautiful mass followed by a reception. Congrats to Shain Mahaney for winning the Joseph R. M. Smith Award and Gavin Jeffers for winning the Guardian Angel Award.

“Though they are small, they are mighty”

We wrapped up the week with downtown flower planting on Friday! Thank you to all of our volunteers who helped plant flowers with our students.
