Pre-Apprenticeship Training

TRP 120 Visits Venture Construction

PACE Tukwila Cohort 36

PACE Pierce Cohort 37

Sellen Construction Fundraiser Update

Sellen Construction's annual fundraiser going towards their Pre-Apprenticeship Support Fund has now raised $84,000 YTD in support of ANEW! We're so grateful for their continued partnership. Check out what their campaign accomplished for us last year!

Alumni Join Speed Mentoring


Some of our ANEW alumni joined us for Speed Mentoring Night with PACE cohorts 36 and 37. Speed mentoring is one of the highlights of our training to help students prepare for the field.

2023 Diversity & Inclusion Summit: Culture Matters

ANEW hosted their 7th annual Inclusion Summit in partnership with the Department of Labor Women’s Bureau and Machinists Institute last month. It was a full day of covering important topics such as worker's psychological safety and eliminating gender-based violence and harassment in the world of work with Kevin Cassidy to intentionally promoting women and the BIPOC community into leadership roles and actively preparing those individuals for their roles to effectively support their teams. Partners from across all sectors joined us for the day, resulting in our largest conference to date! We will be hosting a follow up workshop in the fall to continue the conversation with the Women’s Bureau about workplace violence and harassment.

Construction Boot Camps

Kick Off!


The first two CBC camps start June 26th. New camps will start every week for 10 weeks and are on track to serve 240 students this summer. CBC classes will take place statewide, especially including King, Pierce, Whatcom, Skagit, Thurston, and more.

Our P2A staff attended the College Success Foundation's annual Passports Conference last month! Halley Shriber led the workshop "Apprenticeships Demystified" with five guest speakers.
