After a quick trip down to lovely Orange Beach, AL this week (thanks to a very generous friend who enjoys entertaining her poor semi-relation from Georgia), VP Jeff Tarnowski and I will be hitting the road again next week for visits in Brunswick (Darien), Savannah, and Augusta, GA. We hope that if you are in one of these three areas you will consider coming out to join us.
As usual we will bring greetings and gossip from Dahlonega and always enjoy our lively conversations with alumni who are just as passionate about North Georgia as we are. PJ Rodgers, ’71 in Augusta always has a good story, and we don’t know what we’d do without the likes of RC Sweat, ’66 and Rob Henderson, ’85 to keep us in good company in Brunswick and Savannah. There’s always room for you as well!
On a more serious and personal note, thanks to so many of you who have reached out over the past few months to offer love and support after the loss of my father in March and my mother a few weeks ago. I was so fortunate to be with both during their final days and hours with us. Although it’s been extremely difficult losing them so close together, my family and I are at peace knowing that they have been reunited. And we have certainly felt your love and prayers. Thank you again.
