As we approach the halfway point of 2024 and come to the end of the academic year, I am delighted to share some exciting developments and opportunities within CDN.

Tomorrow is the last day to submit your entries for the CDN College Awards 2024. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your college’s outstanding achievements and innovative projects, so don’t miss your chance to gain the recognition your college deserves.

We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our board as Independent, Non-Executive Board Members. With a renewed strategic focus as the Improvement & Enhancement Agency for Scotland’s Colleges, this is a pivotal time to help shape the future of education in Scotland. Your expertise can contribute to our vision of driving systemic change and enhancing educational experiences.

SDS Big Future Campaign

The Big Future campaign, developed by Skills Development Scotland, takes place from 5-18 August. Aimed at S5/S6 pupils, as well as their parents and carers, this initiative highlights how Foundation Apprenticeships can pave the way for a successful future in Scotland's growing industries.

A toolkit (linked below) has been prepared to help you engage with students and their families effectively.

We want to help you put equality, diversity and inclusion at the heart of all you do, so we have developed a monthly #EqualityMatters digest, signposting you to related events, information and resources.
