WISDOM FOR OUR WORLD: WEBINARS FROM CTI
Pandemic: Possibilities for Change?
How is the pandemic transforming our approach to global public health, environmental responsibility, and ending gender-based violence? And, what is the contribution of theology? Join Dr. Storrar in conversation with three scholars to learn more.

Three Scholars in Conversation with CTI Director William Storrar:

  • Liz Grant, Assistant Principal and Director of the Global Health Academy at the University of Edinburgh

  • Elisabet Le Roux, Research Director at the Unit for Religion & Development at University of Stellenbosch

THIS MOMENT. THIS VOICE. In the Public Conversation

Theology Matters Podcast: THEOLOGY & THE PANDEMIC

Theology Matters host, CTI's Josh Mauldin, engages in conversation with theologians on the global health crisis in this new season of podcasts.

Episode 1: A Time of Discernment
Andrew Davison, CTI Member and Starbridge Lecturer in Theology and Natural Sciences at Cambridge University, discusses how the pandemic is changing what we do, how it is revealing what is most important, and how our flourishing is mutually dependent upon one another.

Episode 2: Religion, Violence, and Human Interconnection
Joel Hodge, CTI Member and Senior Lecturer in Theology at Australian Catholic University, shares his work on religious violence and how justification for violence has shifted from the ancient world to the modern. As the current pandemic has brought suffering, we can find meaning in that as it reminds us of how interconnected we are and the call for responsibility.

Episode 3: The Partnership Between Theology and Science
Celia Deane-Drummond, CTI Member and Senior Research Fellow in Theology at Oxford, discusses viewing the pandemic through the lens of Pope Francis' 2015 Encyclical Laudato Si' and the mutually beneficial partnership between theology and science in sparking new public conversations.
