Events for Adults

Chair Yoga

Monday - June 1st and June 8th

2:15 PM to 3:15 PM

Join us for an 8-week Chair Yoga series designed especially for adults and seniors!


Led by experienced yoga instructor Priti Dhariwal, this gentle and accessible class focuses on stretching, balance, breathing techniques, and relaxation — all from the comfort and support of a chair. Chair yoga is perfect for beginners, those with limited mobility, or anyone looking to improve flexibility and reduce stress in a safe, welcoming environment.


Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and bring water.


Take time for yourself, improve your well-being, and connect with others in our community.

Beginner's Line Dancing

Wednesday - June 3rd, 17th and 24th

1:00 PM to 2:00 PM

Join instructor Joan Colombo as she teaches us how to line dance! Line dancing is a form of synchronized dancing in which dancers are arranged in rows, or lines. Dancers move in unison, so no partners are required. Whether you are a beginner or advanced, line dancing is for everybody! Beginner’s Line Dancing is an easy and energizing way to get some exercise while enjoying some great music and good company.

Adult Yoga

Thursdays - June 4th and 18th

6:15 PM to 7:15 PM

Join us for an adult yoga class! Class is beginner and intermediate friendly. Modifications can always be made for poses to ensure safe movement for your body.



Bring a yoga mat, or a towel, and some water to stay hydrated.

ESL Classes

Fridays - June 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th

11:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Adults, join us for a series of free English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. Classes are a mix of lesson instruction and conversation building. Each class will be a new topic. As this is a very popular program, please be sure you can attend the session before registering.

In this info session participants will learn more about the Boys & Girls Club WAZE Summer College Prep Program. Open to Wallington District students only, with limited spots available, the program will be offered only to incoming 11th and 12th graders. Parents and students alike are welcome to attend the session to learn more and ask any questions about this exciting opportunity.

Woolly Pets: Christine's ADULTS Creative Wool Needle Felting Class

Thursday - June 18th

2:00 PM to 3:00 PM

Enjoy creating a Woolly Mammoth with Christine Hsiao and learn the joys of felting!! This session is open to adults only. Registration is required.


Wallington patrons will have priority during the first week of registration beginning May 28th. Non-residents will be able to register beginning June 4th.


You must enter a library card number to register, regardless of residence. Registrations without a valid library card number will be canceled.


Registrants who haven't arrived after 10 minutes from program start time, forfeit their seat in the program.

Movie Matinee for Adults: Superman

The Kootz in Concert at the Wallington Library

Wednesday - June 24th

Join us in celebrating two years at 125 Main Avenue with a concert! Bring a lawn chair and enjoy some live music and enjoy a free italian ice! 


The Kootz have a 'musical-menu' of Classic 60s-thru-90s' pop, rock, R&B and blues-music. They hail from Essex, Bergen, Morris, Union, Passaic, Sussex, Monmouth and Ocean Counties ... and have been around for over 20-years, now! That's a pretty long-run for any band!

Enjoy a calm, welcoming space to unwind, color, and work on your own craft projects. Adult coloring books and supplies will be provided, and participants are welcome to bring personal projects such as knitting, crocheting, or embroidery.

Parenting Neurodivergent Children

Tuesday - June 30th

This workshop is designed for parents and caregivers supporting neurodivergent children and youth, including those with autism, ADHD, and other learning differences. Participants will explore practical strategies for communication, understanding behavior as communication, and creating supportive home and community environments. The goal is to provide tools, insight, and support to help families foster connection, growth, and resilience.

Little Sprouts: Growing Healthy Habits

Kids between ages 3-6yrs (Grades: PreK3 -- 1st) will learn science themed topics in a very fun way. Program encourages healthy eating, exercise and emotion recognition through fun hands-on activity, educational songs and stories.

Get creative at our Sugar Scrub Lab! Tweens & teens will mix and customize their own body scrub using different sugars, nourishing oils, scents, botanicals, and colors to create something unique. Everyone will leave with a personalized scrub to take home and enjoy. Open to grades 5 and up.

Safe Sitter Program with Mid-Bergen Regional Health Commission

Saturday - June 13th

10:30 AM to 1:00 PM

Safe Sitter® is an interactive, instructor-led course designed for students in grades 6–8 to prepare them to stay safe when home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. Participants learn essential safety skills, child care techniques, first aid and rescue skills, and life/business skills needed to become confident and responsible babysitters. Hands-on activities and role-playing exercises help students practice responding to emergencies, caring for children, and building confidence in real-life situations. Some courses may also include CPR instruction.
