Youth Programs

Competitive Soccer Registration is Open for a Limited Time!

Beginning with the Fall 2026 season, the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA) will be implementing a change to how youth soccer age groups are formed. Teams will transition from a calendar-year system to a school-year system (August 1 – July 31 cutoff).


What This Means:

-Players will now be grouped with school-year peers

-More opportunities to play with classmates and friends

-Changes will take effect starting Fall 2026 registration


What You Need to Do:

-See the chart to find out your age group for the Fall 2026 season.


Tryout Dates (For u10, u11, u12):

Boys – 5:30PM | Girls – 6:30PM

Thursday, July 9th | Monday, July 13th | Wednesday, July 15th

Coach Freitas Future Knights Basketball Camp

Train with the Best!


Ellington High School's championship caliber Boys Basketball Coach, Bob Freitas, invites all young basketball players to join his very popular summer clinic! The clinics will focus on teaching essential basketball fundamentals and foundational skills in a fun environment. Ellington Alumni Lacrosse Camp

Keep Playing Even When School's Out


The Ellington Lacrosse Alumni Camp is led by former Ellington High School players now competing at the collegiate level across the country. The camp focuses on developing fundamental skills, game understanding, and position-specific training in a high-energy environment. Athletes receive instruction, drills, and mentorship while gaining insight into the demands of high school and college lacrosse.

Teen Foundational Strength Training Camp

This three day camp hosted by A Better Self Fitness and Wellness and instructed by Ellington resident Chelsea Lowe is designed specifically for athletes entering grades 7 - 10 and will teach teens how to build a proper warm-up routine, learn foundational strength training exercises, and reduce the risk of injury. It will also cover post-workout recovery and basic nutrition to help fuel the body before and after workouts, practices, and games. The program will include exercise modifications, use of equipment/props, progression options, and take-home materials. This program begins August 10 to provide the perfect compliment to your pre-season plans. Give your young athlete the foundational skills to help them achieve their highest potential!


NEW - Outdoor Yoga

Starts July 1 | Ages 16+

Looking to get active, unwind, or simply spend more time outdoors this summer? Join us for our brand-new Yoga Program at Sandy Beach on Crystal Lake. Starting July 1, classes will be held Wednesdays at 5:30 PM.


This welcoming class is open to participants ages 16 and up and offers a unique opportunity to enjoy the benefits of yoga in a beautiful lakeside setting.


Whether you're new to yoga or have years of experience, these Wednesday evening sessions are designed to help you improve flexibility, build strength, and reduce stress while enjoying the natural surroundings of Crystal Lake.


Pre-registration is required for all participants.

Skyhawks Mini-Hawk Camp



Embark on an adventure with Skyhawks Mini-Hawk where younger children can explore a variety of sports! Mini-Hawk programs offer a fun, structured learning environment while enhancing skills.

Skyhawk's Track & Field Camp


This program introduces young athletes to the sport of track and field that's rich in tradition and history. These programs combine technical development and fundamentals with a major focus on fun!

Skyhawks Multi-Sport Camp



Embark on an adventure with Skyhawks where children can explore a variety of sports! Skyhawk programs offer a fun, structured learning environment while enhancing skills.

Skyhawk's Volleyball Camp



Skyhawks takes the energy and excitement of this great team sport & puts it all together into one fun camp. All aspects of volleyball are taught through drills and exercises that focus on skills.

Wiffleball Camp



This is a fun and energetic program where players can enjoy the classic backyard game in a fun setting. Participants will learn the fundamentals while competing in friendly games daily.

Wiffleball Camp

August 3 - 6 | For Ages 9 - 16

Step up to the plate this summer for a week of wiffleball fun at Robert Tedford Memorial Park! This program brings everyone's favorite backyard game to the Little League fields, giving players the chance to enjoy friendly competition, develop their skills, and spend time outdoors with friends.


Join us from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM for a fun-filled week of America's favorite backyard pastime.
