We are currently planning virtual Patient Education Days

Do you have Atrial Fibrillation (AF), an arrhythmia, syncope or a related condition? We regularly hear how a diagnosis of these conditions can leave a person feeling uneducated and alone, not knowing what to expect, or how best to manage their condition.

We are bringing some of the world's leading experts into your home this year, to share their knowledge and give you the unrivalled opportunity to learn how to best manage your condition and hear about new, innovative treatment options from the safety and comfort of your own home.

Share with us what topics you would like to know more about and how you would like to see them. Do you like videos, PowerPoint presentations, or any other specific format?

Tell us and we will do our best to deliver!

Expert Video Interviews
We have been working together with leading medical professionals to bring you new, up to date, informative videos. We hope that these will help you to understand your condition and the treatment and therapy options available to you.
Get Involved
I nvitation to an online meeting to steer future research in AF and well-being

Has your doctor diagnosed you with Atrial Fibrillation (AF)? Would you be interested in being part of a Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) group, and helping to steer future research on well-being in AF patients?

We are looking for patients who are willing to share their experiences of AF and well-being in two online group meetings. These meetings will last approximately 3.5 hours and will be attended by around 6 other AF patients. The online meeting will be led by Dr Elaina Taylor, a researcher from the University of Derby. Prior to the meeting, you will be sent a set of questions which should take no longer than 20 minutes to complete, and will form the basis of your online discussion.

Participants will receive £30 in Amazon vouchers for each meeting they attend, to thank them for their time.

If you are interested in participating, please email info@afa.org.uk
Your Opinion Matters
If you have an ICD, pacemaker or implantable cardiac monitor, we are asking you to take a moment to complete a survey on remote monitoring.

Get Support
Although there might not be any physical support groups at the moment, some local groups are holding virtual meetings. To find out if your local group is doing this, email c.payne@heartrhythmalliance.org

We also wanted to highlight our online support forums. We moderate a number of groups through Health Unlocked. These are not run by medical professionals, but the members on these forums are quite knowledgeable and willing to share their experiences and opinions.
