Hello ,

This month has been especially memorable as we celebrated the 20th Annual A Day of Words, Wit & Wisdom (W3) and announced our Pathways to Possibilities Campaign (learn more below!) in honor of WE CAN’s 25th anniversary. We are so grateful for the energy, generosity, and commitment of this incredible community as we continue creating pathways for women across Cape Cod.

June is also a time of reflection and celebration as we recognize Pride Month and Juneteenth. These moments remind us of the importance of equity, inclusion, and building a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

With gratitude,

Lisa Guyon

Executive Director, WE CAN

INTRODUCING

Pathways to Possibilities

Last week at W3, we announced the Pathways to Possibilities Campaign, a $5 million initiative honoring WE CAN’s 25 years of impact and investing in the future of women across Cape Cod.

With $2.6 million already raised thanks to the generosity of a catalyst group of donors, this campaign will strengthen current programs, expand access to services, advocate for the needs of Cape Cod women, and build long-term sustainability for WE CAN. Together, we can continue creating pathways toward confidence, stability, opportunity, and possibility for women across our community.

WE CAN News

Celebrating 20 Years of W3

Last week’s W3 was truly one to remember as we celebrated 20 years of this beloved event and 25 years of creating a Cape Cod where women thrive.

The morning brought together our wonderful emcee, Anne LeClaire, an all-star panel of returning authors Hank Phillippi Ryan, Jane Hamilton, Stephen McCauley, and Karen Joy Fowler, and powerful stories shared from our Voices.

From moments of inspiration and humor to stories of courage, connection, and possibility, W3 was a beautiful reminder of the extraordinary community that makes WE CAN’s work possible.

Volunteer Spotlight: Melissa

Melissa brings experience, generosity, and a passion for supporting women and families to her volunteer work with WE CAN. Through her support of the Development team, she helps strengthen the programs and resources that empower women across Cape Cod. Thank you, Melissa, for all you do!

When I retired and moved to Cape Cod full time, I wanted to volunteer with an organization that strengthens the lives of women and families. WE CAN has been a natural fit. As a volunteer, I support the Development team so they can stay focused on advancing WE CAN’s programs. As WE CAN celebrates its 25th year, I’m grateful to be part of that shared commitment

– Melissa, Development Volunteer
