Greetings!
It has been another busy month at More Than Loft Ladders HQ, but the biggest news is that we have officially been reaccredited by the British Franchise Association.
That might sound like another badge for the website, but it means far more than that.
What is the BFA?
The British Franchise Association is the recognised trade association for ethical franchising in the UK.
It sets standards for responsible franchising and helps prospective franchise partners identify businesses that operate properly, provide genuine support and are open about what people are investing in.
BFA membership is not automatic. Franchisors must demonstrate that their business model, franchise agreement, training, financial position and ongoing support meet the association’s standards.
Being reaccredited means More Than Loft Ladders has been assessed again and continues to meet those standards.
Why should that matter to you?
Investing in a franchise is a big decision. You are putting your money, time and future into someone else’s business model, so you need more than a glossy brochure and a convincing sales pitch.
Our reaccreditation gives you added reassurance that:
- We have a proven and established business model.
- Our franchise agreement has been properly reviewed.
- We provide structured training and ongoing support.
- We operate openly, fairly and responsibly.
- We are committed to maintaining recognised standards as the network grows.
No accreditation can remove every risk from running a business. Anyone claiming otherwise should probably come with a health warning. But it does show that we are prepared to have our business independently examined and held to account.
A busy month away from the paperwork
Reaccreditation was not the only thing happening this month.
We have been out on content shoots with several of our franchise partners, creating professional photos and videos they can use in their future local marketing.
Good content helps build trust, keeps their businesses visible and gives potential customers a proper look at the people behind their local More Than Loft Ladders franchise.
We also held our summer conference in Derbyshire.
After an informal session in the boardroom, where we discussed the business, shared ideas and looked at what is coming next, we swapped chairs and spreadsheets for an afternoon in the countryside on quad bikes.
Because sometimes the best way to strengthen a network is to get everyone together, talk honestly and then cover them in a healthy amount of Derbyshire mud.
That balance of strong standards, practical support and a close-knit network is exactly what we are building at More Than Loft Ladders.
If you are considering franchising and would like to find out whether we could be the right fit, reply to this email and we will arrange an informal Discovery Call.
Best wishes,
Liam Hobbs

The BFA is the UK franchising industry’s trade association and describes its role around ethical franchising and member accreditation. It is not a government regulator, so the copy deliberately presents reaccreditation as meaningful reassurance, not a guarantee.
