Outside the Tallulah Falls General Store, Horace and his caregiver, Denise Eller, built a one-of-a-kind Art Box filled with original artwork and free art supplies for anyone who wants to create or take home a little inspiration.

Horace’s favorite thing to draw is the sun—a fitting symbol for someone whose kindness shines just as brightly. His simple message of “love, hope, and energy” is at the heart of everything he creates.

Taylor Cheek is Having a September to Remember

BANKS COUNTY - Taylor, a “super senior” at Banks County High School, is celebrating an unforgettable accomplishment after a photo from last year’s prom was selected for the National Down Syndrome Society’s annual Times Square video presentation. Now, he’s headed to New York City to see his photo featured on the big screen!

But that’s not all. Taylor is also a dedicated powerlifter and is traveling to Manchester, England for his fifth world championship, where he’ll compete alongside other athletes with intellectual disabilities.

From the prom dance floor to the world powerlifting stage and the bright lights of Times Square, Taylor is showing just how far determination, friendship and a big dream can take you.
