An Update on MLS PIN and Broker Public Portal
Broker Public Portal with Homesnap Has the Right Features to Help You Search and Connect with Clients 

As previously announced, MLS PIN has joined the nationwide industry initiative Homesnap (Broker Public Portal). In an effort to provide our customers with the best services possible, and per a board of directors decision, we will no longer continue our own public-facing website, MLS PIN Homes, and will instead invest these efforts into Homesnap. We encourage MLS PIN Brokers to opt in to the Homesnap portal which offers a fantastic search experience for consumers and features Fair Display Guidelines, free leads to agents, property history, news feed, property boundaries, satellite imagery, school zone searches, Siri and Apple Watch integration, built-in private messaging, split-view on iPads, and more – all without external advertising. In mid to late October, we will remove MLS PIN Homes as a public-facing website, and we encourage you to take advantage of the free leads offered through the Homesnap site, where consumers are connected directly to the listing agent at no charge. All consumer traffic to MLS PIN Homes will be redirected to Homesnap. IMPORTANT: MLS PIN Participants or Office Managers must OPT IN to make their offices' listings available to consumers using the Broker Public Portal via Homesnap. Otherwise, consumers who are sent links to these listings will be shown public records data instead. To opt in, the Participant/Office Manager must check the box for Homesnap in Pinergy’s Syndication tool. If interested, you may check out the Homesnap portal  HERE .
How to Add a Pinergy Shortcut on Apple Mobile Devices

Now that Pinergy’s Home Page and Search / Search Results are fully mobile-device compatible, you may want to add a Pinergy shortcut to your phone or tablet’s desktop. You can do this on Apple devices by accessing the Pinergy sign-in page ( login.mlspin.com ) and tapping the Share icon at the bottom of Safari’s browser screen and selecting “Add to Home Screen” (we’ve created a helpful floating message to walk you through it). Note: this is a new white icon, and is different than the orange one you may have already set up for Pinergy Mobile. Both Home Screen icons will work, but they will send you to different Pinergy experiences.
New Password Policy for Pinergy

To enhance system security, Pinergy now requires all new passwords to be strong passwords (details are displayed when creating or updating a password). Also, Pinergy no longer emails forgotten passwords. If you click “Forgot your password?” from the sign-in page, Pinergy will email you a link for resetting your password. We thank you for helping us to keep Pinergy secure!

The Find Application Rebrands to "realtor.com ® Professional Search"

Realtor.com is phasing out their Find application and is replacing it with a new product, “Professional Search,” starting September 25. Professional Search has a wealth of information on properties across the country, and like Find, it will be useful for buyers considering a relocation. Exciting Remine Enhancements Coming Your Way

Remine has some big changes coming September 30. The application available through Pinergy will get a facelift, improving both its appearance and its usability. Discover will be renamed to Search, and a new “advanced” search will be available. Property Carts will replace the Track section, providing more options for organizing and sharing properties. The property reports will sport new layouts and will display property lines. The Remine Mobile app will be updated as well for agents and their Remine clients. Rules and Regulations Reminder: Photo Content

As a reminder, the content of all MLS listing photos must be limited to objective, non-branded information about the listed property’s physical attributes or location. A listing photo should not contain any identifying or contact information or branding for the listing broker or agent. This means, among other things, that a brokerage sign may not appear in the photo. If you have any questions about the MLS PIN Rules and Regulations, please feel free to contact our Quality Assurance department at 800-695-3000, option 6, or by email to qa@mlspin.com .
Coming Soon Listing Status Fact Sheet

A reminder on the rules surrounding the Coming Soon (CSO) status are outlined in our Coming Soon Listing Status Fact Sheet . For those offices who are utilizing this status, please also review our Step-By-Step Guide to the Coming Soon Status in Pinergy . Please refer to your Participant/Office Manager for your office’s own internal guidelines regarding usage of the Coming Soon status. Remember, your Participant/Office Manager must opt in using the Office Management tool in Pinergy before an office can use this status. Searching for First-Floor Bedrooms

Listings in Pinergy may specify the level of each room in the property, and you may search according to those levels. Are you looking for a property with a first-floor master bedroom? Then from the Additional Criteria section in Search (Advanced Criteria tab in Map Search), select “Master Bedroom Level,” select “First Floor,” and then add it to your search. If having just any bedroom on the first floor will do, then select “Bedroom Level: Any,” select “First Floor,” and then add it to your search.
Remember to Update Your VOW with Roster Changes

If you change your office affiliation or other contact information, be sure to update your VOW (virtual office website) to reflect those changes. Your Pinergy Contacts use your VOW to view their listing matches, to request showings for properties, and to perform other functions. Your VOW displays your contact information and perhaps a company logo as well, so make sure what’s displayed is correct! To do so, sign in to Pinergy, click Tools, then click Virtual Office Web (VOW). You’ll find your contact information below the side menu. If something needs to be updated, then click the pencil icon to edit the section, make your changes, and save your changes. To see what company logo may be displaying, click Contact Login in the side menu, and then click the Results Page tab in the page that appears. If you want to change the logo, click the Edit button that appears next to “Contact Match Results,” and use the Logo dropdown menu to select the logo you want to use (or select “none” if you want no logo to be displayed), and save your changes. 
Employee Spotlight
Brian Mathon, Associate Product Manager 

It’s safe to say that MLS PIN Associate Product Manager Brian Mathon likes to mix it up, both at work and after hours. An 11-year veteran of our company, he was hired as a Customer Service/Tech Support Representative but has also held positions here as SQA Analyst and Jr. Business Analyst. All of that customer support and technical background means Brian has practical insight into what our customers may need and how we can possibly provide it. He’s part of the team that writes Pinergy business requirements for new and existing functionality and designs concepts for those functions. He’s had input into Pinergy functionality you’ve already seen recently, like the new responsive Search. Other projects he’s been part of are still under wraps, but we think you’ll be impressed! Brian has a whole other life outside of work at MLS PIN: he’s a lieutenant for the Spencer Fire Department, and he DJs weddings and functions on the side. Thanks, Brian, for your expertise and hard work (not to mention your entertaining personality) for the past 11 years.
