MLS PIN CEO Kathy Condon Inducted into CMLS Hall of Fame

MLS PIN is proud to announce that on September 21, 2021, our President and CEO Kathy Condon was inducted into the Council of Multiple Listing Services (CMLS) Hall of Fame, which recognizes outstanding contributions to the CMLS organization and the MLS industry. We applaud CMLS for recognizing Kathy with this honor, the culmination of a remarkable 44-year career in the MLS industry, which she has helped shape. We couldn’t possibly be prouder of her and are thrilled that she’s been celebrated for her efforts to strengthen and elevate the MLS industry in our market and nationwide. All of us at MLS PIN join in congratulating Kathy for this incredible honor.
Coming Soon: Schedule Showings in Pinergy with the New Homesnap Showings!

Earlier this year, the makers of Homesnap accelerated the pace of their showings management tool, “Homesnap Showings.” Good news: it’s nearly ready for release! More good news: it’s free, compliments of MLS PIN, for our customers who are registered with the free Homesnap Pro. MLS PIN is excited to be the first in the country to release Homesnap Showings, which promises to be the most industry- and agent-friendly tool for showings management. Key features include a Seller Interface that keeps listing agents in the loop regarding client properties, Showing Activity Reports where listing agents can see who has scheduled a tour (and possible feedback), and an Automatic Feedback Loop Survey sent to the buyer’s agent. Homesnap Showings will be integrated into Pinergy later this year, and when it is, you’ll be able to schedule showings via Homesnap Showings the same way you currently do in Pinergy for ShowingTime (which will remain available in Pinergy). Get more information with this flyer from Homesnap. Like everything Homesnap creates, this product will be easy to use and packed with useful features, making scheduling showings a “snap.”
MLS PIN Listing Information Forms Coming to Remine Docs!

Great news for Remine users: MAR is partnering with Remine Docs for their forms, starting with a soft launch in October, and they'll be including MLS PIN's 19 listing information forms as a part of this collaboration. MAR's forms and MLS PIN's forms will be accessible under Remine Docs when you sign in to Remine and will be visible only if you are a REALTOR® member of MAR. We hope this new arrangement makes the process of adding and changing listings in Pinergy even more convenient. And remember that Remine is free with your MLS PIN subscription. Watch the Pinergy homepage for more information!
Down Payment Resource Usage Doubles After VOW Change

What a difference a small change can make! In April of this year, we made small changes to VOW listing details, making the Down Payment Resource icon more prominent. The result? DPR client usage doubled in May and went up another 25% in June. Recent months have continued this trend. This all means that more of your buyers are getting vital information on down payment assistance, grants, tax credits, and other hard-to-find helpers for homeownership by clicking the “Find Down Payment” link below the property photo on your VOW's listing details. As an agent, you get information on property-specific home-buying help programs by clicking the green “$” icon on an eligible listing’s details in Pinergy. Visit Down Payment Resource for access to live or recorded webinars.
Share Listings from Your Smartphone

Use Pinergy to share listings from your smartphone. At the bottom of the listing details view are icons for recommending the listing, emailing the list agent, sharing the listing, mapping the listing’s location, and adding the listing to a cart. (You may need to expand the menu to see the icons.) Tap the “share” icon, then select “Email Listing” to email a listing detail report. Select “Text Link” or “Email Link” to share a link to a mobile-friendly IDX detail view for the listing. Select “Copy Link” to copy the link’s URL, which you then can paste into a text message, an email, or even another browser window. And of course, when you recommend a listing to a Contact, that listing is added as a new property match. You can use the Actions menu to email or recommend selected listings from Pinergy’s summary views as well, giving you even more ways to share listings—right from your smartphone!
Map Layers Added to Interactive Maps!

Pinergy’s interactive maps now feature map layers. Depending on the map’s zoom level and the number of properties displayed, clicking the Map Layers menu option will allow you to select Borders (states, counties, or zip codes), Flood Zones, and/or Parcels. When Parcels is selected, clicking a parcel will display its boundary measurements/area, tax information, property history, or flood zone information. Give it a try! Interactive maps are available in Pinergy’s Search Results, Carts, and Listing Watch.
Add Virtual Tours to Your Offline Listings

Good news! The Add a Virtual Tour button is now available for offline listings. Add a virtual tour offline, and it will be accessible immediately when you post your listing online. Take advantage of this great new feature allowing you to prepare ahead and add virtual tour links even before posting your listings, saving time later!
"Add to Cart" from Interactive Maps

Now in Pinergy’s interactive maps, each listing preview includes an “add to cart” icon. Select the icon to add that listing to a new or existing listing cart—right from the map, without having to view a listing detail report! Interactive maps are available in Pinergy’s Search Results, Carts, and Listing Watch.
Hot Sheet Results on Smartphones

When accessed via Pinergy’s Home page, hot sheet results on smartphones now feature the same summary views used in Search Results! They look great and are easy to navigate. So if you haven’t been using hot sheets with your smartphone, now is a good time to try them out.
New Listing Types for Parking

We realize that every square foot is precious in many metropolitan areas, which is why we’ve recently added “Parking” to the Type of Rental and Type of Commercial options for the Residential Rental and Commercial/Industrial property types, respectively. Please note that “Parking” remains an option in Type of Land for Land listings. To search Pinergy for Parking rentals, choose Property Type “Residential Rental (RN),” and then, in the Additional Criteria section, select “Type of Rental” and choose “Parking.” The process is similar for Commercial Parking listings.
"Data View—It’s Not Just for Smartphones Anymore

The listing details view Pinergy uses on smartphones is now available on other devices. Select “Data View” from the dropdown menu in listing details to display listing data, market history, price change history, property history, and public record data for a property. Recommend, email, print, PDF, or watch the listing. Add the listing to a cart or map its location. Email the list agent or the sale agent. It’s all there—and more! So be sure to check out the new Data View option on your desktop or tablet.
Supported Browsers for Pinergy

Regarding Web browsers, Pinergy officially supports Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome for PC; Safari and Google Chrome are supported for Mac. That doesn’t necessarily mean that other browsers won’t work with Pinergy, but if you’re having issues using an unsupported browser (e.g., Microsoft Internet Explorer), try using one of the supported browsers instead. It might be just the ticket to get you rolling again! View our system recommendations here.
Clarifying the Lockbox Rule

Under Section 2.0(a) of the MLS PIN Rules and Regulations, it is the seller’s decision as to whether lockbox access may be granted to a licensed real estate broker or salesperson who requests access. Some subscribers have asked whether this means the seller must be consulted before every individual showing request. When a listing is first input, the seller could give the listing broker a blanket instruction if the seller wants all properly licensed real estate brokers and salespeople to be permitted to access the lockbox. If the seller were to give such blanket permission up front, then it would not be necessary to consult the seller upon receiving each individual access request.
