As we head into the summer, I want to thank our members, volunteers, committee chairs, and staff for everything you do to support our association. Your dedication, willingness to get involved, and commitment to our profession are what make this association so special.

I encourage everyone to continue taking advantage of the educational opportunities and resources available through our association. By learning, growing, and supporting one another, we continue to elevate our profession and better serve our clients and communities.

I hope you have a safe, enjoyable summer, and I look forward to seeing you at future association events.

Celebrating America's Birthday - The KWAOR office will be closed Friday, July 3 in observance of Independence Day. We wish all of our members a safe, happy, and festive Fourth of July weekend!

⚠️ RI Non-Owner Occupied Property Tax - Effective July 1

Starting on July 1, 2026, owners of residential dwellings that are assessed at more than $1 million will be required to pay a new quarterly state property tax on the portion that is over $1 million unless the owners can document that they live in the property or rent to tenants for 183 days or more. 📋 State-Wide MLS | Equity/Assignment Listings - New Guidance

Does your client have a contractual interest in a property but is not the legal title holder? State-Wide MLS has issued a simple three-step process for entering Equity/Assignment Listings correctly, including how to identify the listing in the MLS, submit the required authorization form signed by the legal title owner, and attach the form as a private supplement.
