March Lunch & Learn - Understanding FinCEN

New Federal Reporting Rule Effective March 1

Join us for our March Lunch & Learn featuring John Comery, Esq., of the Fidelity National Financial Family of Companies, for an important update on a new federal residential real estate rule taking effect March 1 aimed at combating money laundering.

The rule requires reporting to FinCEN when entities or trusts purchase residential property without financing, including all-cash transactions. While closing or settlement agents are responsible for filing the report, agents and brokers must understand the requirements so they can properly prepare their clients. Title companies and closing attorneys will require all necessary information before closing.
