#BrightenBelmont with Belmont Recreation
#BrightenBelmont is the Recreation Department’s new social media campaign to engage the public and spread positivity during the COVID-19 pandemic. They will be posting activities, opportunities for interaction, uplifting photos, positive stories, and more.

Join in by using the hashtag #BrightenBelmont on social media. The Recreation Department's vision is to use social media and the hashtag #BrightenBelmont to unite the town, keep everyone connected, and innovate unique program ideas in a virtual space.

Find the Recreation Department on Instagram , Facebook , and Twitter .
The Recreation Department's featured program this month is Belmont's Got Talent . All Belmont residents are invited to submit a video showcasing your talents.

Stay tuned to see how the Belmont Public Library and you, our library patrons, can also help #BrightenBelmont!
Take Advantage of OverDrive
Get ebooks, audiobooks, magazines, and more from home using OverDrive . Discover thousands of books including bestsellers, fiction and nonfiction, children’s collections, and young adult materials. There are a few movies in OverDrive, too!

The easiest way to use the OverDrive catalog is by downloading the Libby app on your tablet or other smart device. Then, grab your library card and password/PIN (if you don’t know your PIN, we can help you reset it through our Ask A Librarian service) and follow the prompts. Libby allows you to read and listen to materials in the app, or you can choose to send ebooks to your Kindle device. You may borrow up to 10 items at a time.

Did you know that we also select titles in OverDrive that Belmont residents get first? Some of these recent OverDrive Advantage additions include Marjan Kamali's The Stationery Shop (audio) for adults, Jenny Han's To All the Boys I've Loved Before (ebook) for YA readers, and Raina Telgemeier's Sisters (ebook) for kids. Place a hold and you'll get Belmont's copy before anyone else!

P.S. If you have not used your library card in a while, try again — we've extended card expiration dates and updated blocked accounts.
