New Charging Stations

Thanks to funding from the Foundation, the Central Library has new charging stations. Now, patrons can charge mobile devices safely while roaming the stacks. Like everything at the library, this service is free for all. Technology like this, including computers, creative software, furniture, and other building upgrades, are part of the Central and Neighborhood Branch projects our donors have contributed to for many years. Thank you, donors!

Sewing machines are a hit!

Recent gifts from Foundation donors enabled the purchase of sewing machines. It turns out Berkleyans LOVE TO SEW, and librarians do too! Who knew? These high-quality machines have become the centerpiece of our beloved "sewing literacy" programs, attracting a growing number of participants eager to learn this valuable skill. Consult your library's calendar and join us for an enriching and enjoyable sewing experience soon!

BIG Book Sale!

Our Friends are having their highly anticipated annual book sale on June 14th and 15th. Explore the vast array of literary treasures available on the 3rd floor of the Central Library from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. With thousands of books, CDs, DVDs, and more on sale for just 50 cents, this event promises to be a bibliophile's paradise.

We had a fabulous time in March after hours at the Central Library.
