Cheers to a year of Impact.

From the Founder – November 2025

This is the season!! I do not want to take up a lot of space in this, our last newsletter of 2025, except to reiterate that I am truly thankful for all those who have: gone with us to Kenya; helped others go with us; bought shoes, feminine hygiene products, socks, suitcases, school supplies, or other essentials; sponsored a child; paid high school tuition; donated towards our emergency fund; helped the families who lost everything in the floods or the fire; whether $5 or $12,000, it has all gone to assist our families who live in extreme poverty. We will continue to help them as you continue to partner with us.

In 2026, I would like to know more about what you need from us to make you feel more connected to our mission and ministry. If there is information you want more or less of, let me know. If you have any specific questions about how we do what we do, let me know. If you want to help in any way, we totally invite your participation!

We are here for you, as you have been there for us!

You are in our prayers for an amazing 2026 and many good gifts from above!

Love, hugs, and blessings to you and yours!

Christmas Greetings From Our Community to Yours

As we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ and embrace the beauty of this sacred season, Dorcas Destiny International extends heartfelt Christmas greetings and season’s blessings to you and your loved ones.

We look back on 2025 with deep gratitude to God, who has faithfully guided every step of our journey. Through His grace and through your unwavering support, lives have been transformed, women have been strengthened, and children have been given hope, dignity, and opportunity. What we have witnessed this year is a powerful reminder that when God’s people come together, love becomes action and faith bears fruit.

Your prayers, generosity, and partnership have been instrumental in advancing our mission. Each act of giving—whether time, resources, or encouragement—has helped us serve with compassion and excellence. We do not take this support lightly, and we thank God for you.

As we step into 2026, we do so with renewed faith, bold vision, and expectancy for all that God is yet to do. The need remains great, but so does the hope. Together, we can continue to be instruments of His love and vessels of His mercy.

Thank you for an incredible 2025. By God’s grace, let us do even more in 2026.

We invite you to continue this journey with us by:

  • Donating to support women and children in need
  • Volunteering your time, skills, or resources
  • Partnering with us to expand our impact and reach

Together, let us serve faithfully and build a future filled with hope.

Families Facing the Cycle of Poverty

As the year comes to a close, many families continue to live without their basic needs being met.

Poverty affects every part of a child’s life—from lack of food and safe shelter to limited access to education and healthcare. These challenges are not temporary; they repeat year after year, trapping families in ongoing hardship.

Throughout this year, rising living costs, unemployment, and reduced support systems have made already difficult situations worse. Children often experience hunger, emotional distress, and interrupted schooling, forcing them to grow up too quickly.

When these needs are unmet for long periods, the effects follow them into adulthood, continuing the cycle of poverty.

Beyond material lack, poverty also affects a child’s sense of safety and self-worth.

Constant uncertainty can lead to fear, anxiety, and loss of hope, making it harder for children to dream or plan for the future. Without positive role models and stable support, many children struggle to believe that change is possible.

In the midst of these challenges, DDI has played a critical role in supporting

vulnerable children and families. By providing food assistance, school support, and other basic needs, DDI has helped stabilize children’s daily lives and reduce immediate hardship.

The organization has also worked closely with families, community leaders, and government departments to promote child protection, support

safe care arrangements, and encourage family reintegration where possible.

At this moment of looking back and planning ahead, we are reminded that children should not carry the weight of economic failure. Through consistent care, community-based support, and organizations like DDI, children can be protected from the worst effects of poverty. Investing in their well-being today is a vital step toward breaking the cycle and building a more hopeful future.

Where Love Was Seen: Photos That Tell Our Story

These feel-good moments capture the heart of this year—the smiles, the laughter, and the quiet victories made possible through love, faith, and generosity. Each photo tells a story of hope restored and lives touched because you chose to care.

As we reflect on these beautiful memories, we are filled with gratitude and excitement as we prepare to travel to Kenya in February next year. We go with prayerful hearts, ready to serve, to listen, and to witness God’s continued work among women and children.

Thank you for being part of every smile and every step of this journey. The story is still unfolding—and we are grateful to walk it with you.
