To keep all your daily software programs (including Metron Imaging Software) operating smoothly, make a habit to occasionally close/log out of all your programs and reboot your computer.
This good advice can also be applied to iPads, Android phones, and more.
|
If you are regularly deleting images because of retakes etc., your trash folder will fill up pretty fast. But this also means most of the images now stored in the "Trash" are not useful.
When you do mistakenly delete an image and you want to restore it, the image could be lost in the long list of other deleted images. If the list is long, be aware you may have your valuable image sitting on the "Page 2" of the trash can list.
We recommend you regularly empty the Metron trash can so the list is never very long. A short trash can list will make it easy to find and restore the valuable image.
Also, by deleting images you do not need, valuable hard drive space is gained. This keeps your computer healthier to better serve your practice. Click the trash can in the lower left corner of the Study List panel to begin the process. Choose all images or highlight those you want to delete.
Just keep in mind that once you permanently delete an image, it is unrecoverable.

Best Practices: Advanced Training
|
Are you new to Metron Support Services or just recently completed your basic training and are comfortable navigating the Metron Imaging Software? Perfect first step!
However, do not forget to contact us when you are ready to take on your Advanced Metron Software Training Session. This is LIVE phone training available with one of our Metron Support Services Technicians for as many doctors and staff who would benefit. It is generally planned for one hour or less and can be personalized for you so let us know the Metron Software features you would like to cover.
Also, have you hired new staff to your practice since first implementing the Metron Software? Contact us to set up the Metron Basic Training to provide anyone on your team the opportunity to learn the basic process steps and features of the software. It can also be a refresher session for anyone.
Both training sessions are included with your annual Metron Support Services and can be scheduled at a convenient time and repeated as best for your practice. Good Internet connectivity and speaker phone capabilities are a plus for these sessions.

The Benefits of Guided Mark-Ups
|
Guided Mark-Up for Medical Diagnostics
Guided Mark-Ups are provided for certain radiographic views for which current practice has well-defined measurements.
The Guided Mark-Up process prompts the user to pick key points in the image from which these measures are computed.
Podiatrists
Metron supports Guided Mark-Up for the Lateral Foot and five different measurements of the Foot AP including Talonavicular Angle and MTP Joint Angle. This month we give a closer look at these measurements of the Foot AP. The online training session will walk you through the steps, the images, and radiographs discussing the importance of these Metron measurements for diagnosing foot deformities in a patient.
Video length 10 minutes.
Chiropractors
Beneficial for the chiropractor, Metron also supports Guided Mark-Up for ten different measurements of the lateral lumbar region including Jackson's Angle and Lumbar Lordosis. As you watch this training video you will learn a bit of Metron history plus view images and radiographs discussing Metron measurements for the lumbar spine area and the value provided for patient diagnosis and your subsequent treatment.
Video length 9 minutes.
